During Chemistry class, my bestfriend announced that she will be absent for one week and that starts tomorrow. I never asked her where she's going but she told me anyway. Cass is visiting her granny in Michigan.

"Could you do something for me while I am away?"she whispered, while leaning on me.

"If it is not beyond five o'clock pm, maybe." I have this odd feeling that Cass is giving me assignment like spying.

"Watch Henry for me." There, she just confirmed it! And hell, I am not doing it!

"Please," she pleaded while battering her eyes.

"That was cute Cass. But I am not going to be his nanny," I protested with utmost dislike on my face. The idea of spying my ultimate crush is really tempting but I am not that desperate to the point that I will follow his every action.

"Maib you are not baby sitting him. You will just spy on him,"she corrected me, waving her hand on my face.

Our Chemistry teacher, Mr. Castle, is distributing a test paper for pre-assessment about ionic bonding.

"I do not have time for that, Cass. You knew I have curfew to worry. And your cousin is senior. We even do not have the same classes."

Cass gave me a devilish look. "Are you attracted to him?"

I blinked my eyes and stared at her. I do! My mind screamed but I would never tell her that, ever!

"Silence means yes! Since you are my bestfriend it's okay with me if you like Henry. I'll like it more when you two end up together. You will be perfect for each-"

I have to stop her from ranting. Oh my god!She is imagining Henry and I in a very romantic way. I stomped Cass's foot and it made her cussed loudly. Both of us received daggers from our classmates' eyes.

"I am sorry," Cass and I said in chorus, raising our hands together so they'll not say anything. As I answer the test, Cass insisted to accept my special assignment which I accepted anyway after a series of rejection.

At three o'clock sharp, Cass had to say goodbye.
"I'll see you next week!" I waved at her. Then, I remember Henry Jackson. I have to find him. Cass was really serious about me watching her cousin. I checked my watch. I have fifteen minutes before my last class. I walked and walked around the campus until I settled on the same corridor where we've talked two days ago. He was leaning against the ledge again. I could tell that he is in deep thoughts.

Well, he looks fine. I do not have to watch him until he decides to leave.

I am about to turn around but Henry said my name. I automatically stared at him. He is now looking at me with wide-hopeful smiling eyes.

"It's you again!"he yelled, a wide grin is plastered on his lips.

My cheeks reddened. He seemes happy to see me. And why is that, huh? He almost run to where I am standing and halted half meter away from me.

"Going home now?"he asks, he still has wide eyes.

"Not yet." He really smells mint and lavender. Now that he is close to me, I am certain. "I still have one class. How about you?" This boy was kidnapped when he was five, I reminded myself. He needs someone to talk to. If I am that someone, then I won't abandon him.

"Spanish."

We have similar subject at three quarter. I could not help my smile but to smile. "Mine is Spanish too. I hate it!"

"Nobody likes the subject,"he commented, that made me chuckle.

"We better go." I am spying on him so I better stay close where he is for a moment.

But he shook his head and lowered his head.

Since he is jilting, I better go and endure the class alone. I already admitted that I hate Spanish but I do not want to miss the class. As the only neice of Beth, I wanted to make her proud through good grades. It's the only way I know to return her kindness to me.
"Bye, then!"

"I will be right here after Spanish."

"You need not to wait for me," I told him hastily,

Yeah that was only in my mind. Because if he really wait for me he'll see me. There is only one way to get to the gate. And it is where he is gonna wait! Unless, I am going to use my power.

Yes, yes! My pretty little mind agreed. But I'll pass.

"See you later," that's all I could say to Henry before I turned around to attend my class. I let a deep sigh escape from my lungs along my way to the building. It is so hard to be a good witch than to be a bad one!
