The Alpha and I

Chapter 51: Realization

       I could not get over with the scene I have witnessed when Henry introduce me to the werewolves in their human forms. They are about fifty and just came here to die...well if we are unlucky to be dead.

      "Does a male werewolf needs to be big and tall?" I could not help but to ask him since I see all of them like they eat spinach all the time.

       "Its in our genes, Maib." Henry simply answered. He's so serious the moment we meet his pack. I guess he already accepted his granfather's request. Henry is now the reigning alpha and I will be their Luna the moment he'd announce the news to his entire territory. Being the Luna is terrifying but I don't want to worry about it right now. My first priority is to kill Iberron. I knew this sounds crazy but I'll kill him anyway. I don't want to leave this place in danger. How could I live in peace somewhere if I knew he is still alive?

       "Your beta is scary." I said while gulping. "He wants to eat me, I guess."

       My mate just laughed. "Paul is my bestfriend. He is just doing his job. It's not easy to be the second in command."

       "How old is he?" I am still looking at Paul, who is talking to his company. I was informed by Henry that Grant Jackson sent one-fourth of the pack's warriors.

       "Nineteen."

       "Do you think, you two are too young to be the alpha and beta?"

        "Maib, it does not matter for as long as we are ready to lead."

         I looked up to my mate. "So, you are ready then?"

         "I am." He answered confidently. Then added, "I cannot protect you alone."

         My eye brow raised at his conviction. "Henry, I can protect myself. And Johann is there to help me."

          He happens to be the alpha so, he growls furiously and his pupils dilated. I made him angry. I rolled my eyes. He growled again.

         "I will not allow it to happen! You are my mate."

         "We need his blood." I said calmly.

         "To hell with his blood! You are mine. If his blood will mix with yours, you two will create connections. Do you understand me, Maib? Johann will invade our bond. He can make you love him!"

         I was speechless and astounded. I didn't know that at all! Oh shit! If Johann will inject his blood to me, I can feel him and vice versa. Then, the worse scenario is that the vampire prince can manipulate my feelings. Now, I perfectly understand why Henry came here. He wanted to prove something. But the vampire followed us here.

          Then...wait! Something is wrong. I must speak with my cousin. I have this odd feeling that it is not I who need the pure vampire blood. Lisa's vision of me was just some sort of a piece taken from a pie. There's something that's missing. I must find Lily. Now! I have just realized something but I have to keep it in my head for now.

          I held Henry's hand tightly and said, "Okay, I agree. We don't need Johann's blood. And I do not like the idea of loving him at all. I already have you. But we need to go and find Lily. She is hiding something from me. From us." I stared at Henry's dark face.

         The wolf's eyes went back to normal and pulled me into a hug, so strong that my arms were about to pop out from its right places. "Uhm...I knew you love me but please, let go of me."

         Henry chuckled and released me. "I am so sorry, my love!" Do you know what it feels like to be stared by a man whom you love so much? Heaven! More so, it makes me the happiest girl in the universe.

           I smiled at him but we need to get going.

          "Come on!We need to find Lily!" I pulled him, trying to force him to walk but the reverse situation has happened. He is stronger that me so I was dragged when Henry started walking fast.

         So much for thinking that I am stronger than this wolf.

         We ask some villagers about my cousin. They all said the same. They saw Lily going into the woods. We followed her trail but instead we found Johann and not the pure witch. The vampire prince looked devastated.

         "He is walking incoherently," I whispered to Henry. The prince is ten meters away from us. "He looked pissed off."

          "Where is your cousin?" Henry whispered back. I shook my head but there's only one way to know the answer.

          "Johann!" I called out. "I am sure he knows where is Lily." I smiled at the wolf.

          "He better tell us." We continued walking to where the vamp is.

          Johann was merely standing there, and looking agitated when we got closer. His eyes were pitch black and his nails were elongated. It seems that he had just attacked someone.

         "What the hell has happened here?" Henry beat me to ask the vampire.

         "I did not mean to scare her!" Johann shouted.

          "Lily?"

          "Yes!"

          "Will you please hide your nails and calm down okay. Where is Lily?" I need to yell back. Gladly, the vampire heard me and followed what I have asked him to do. "Now, tell me what happened?"

          "I feel like shit right now. Your cousin is inlove with someone." Johann just detonated his own bomb.

          "Impossible!" That is all I could say. Yeah, it is impossible. Lily is destined to be with Johann. I have seen them together, deeply madly and unconditonally inlove with each other in my dream. Yeah in my dream.

        "Do you know how dangerous it is to let her go. Any moment now, the faeries will come!" Henry spits the words angrily. He started pacing in between me and the vamp.

         "Lead the way, Johann. Surely, you know which way she had taken."
