"Hahahaha!"
Cass and I are seated on the grassy land apart from the crowd. She couldn't stop from giggling while rolling on the grass.
"Did you see Mr. Garcia's face after you read it?" It's my bestfriend again.
"Seriously?" I don't even want to know. I have embarassed myself infront of Mr. Garcia!
"You made him blushed multiple times that his face was like cherry tomato!" Cass said between laughters.
Yeah! Who could not have a red face after telling him, he has small balls just the size of a pea?!
That was so embarassing! I am so freaking sure that Mr. Garcia will not ask me again. It was an advantage for me actually but he already knew that I suck in Spanish. He would probably give me the worse grade ever. Ugh!
Cass' s fun was ruined when her mom fetched her. I felt alone when she's gone. And I do not have any choice but to go home. I have a curfew at 5pm anyway.
On my way to the gate, I saw Henry Jackson leaning against the ledge, all by himself. My feet halted and my cheeks reddened just by seeing him. His dark brown hair is neatly comb. His full and red lips are inviting. His nose is perfectly sculptured like a god. And I knew that he has the most adorable hazel eyes I have ever seen. I love watching his manly face. And his muscles are in its right places.
Get your ass moving! I yelled on my mind. Just when I decided to walk again, Henry Jackson raised his head and stared at my side curiosly. I lowered my head and walk past him. I am almost out of his charm when I heard someone, calling my name. I pivoted and saw no one but Henry Jackson.
Did he just call me? How on earth did he know my name? I watched Henry walked towards me with a grin on his face. Well, atleast he is grinning and not frowning. That was atleast refreshing.
"Excuse me, you've dropped something,"he said in a bery modulated voice as he handed me my ID. So, this has explained why he knew me. I took it as fast as I could.
Oh! I am so stupid. Now he thinks that I did it on purpose just to get his precious attention. I swallowed the lump in my throat before speaking.
"Thanks," I said in my calm voice. Then, I turned around and started walking again. I was so afraid to stare at his face, though I wanted to stare at him all the time. And he smells nice, like mint and lavender.
"Wait! Stop!" Henry shouted when I am already few steps away from him.
My feet froze. Slowly, I turned around and look at his direction with a big question written on my face. What is it that he wants? I do not want to be near him. Yes, he happens to be my ultimate crush but I do not have plans to be closed to him. It will only complicate things. And he surely does not like my presence.
"Maib, right?" He said while staring on my face. And what is more nerve-rocking is that... when our eyes met and lingered for few seconds, I think everything that surrounds me stopped moving. It was dead silent too. Or am I just hallucinating?
"I'll take it as a yes. I am Henry Jackson." He introduced himself with a friendly smile on his lips while his eyes never leave mine. His voice is very husky. My head tilted down a bit. Eventually, after seconds of being strucked, I smiled shyly.
"I know," I answered, so calmly. But deep inside me, my heart is humming violently like, it has the need to shout or scream out of so much excitement.
"Well?" He prompted, still gazing at me.
I didn't get his point. "Well?" What is he trying to say?
Then, I remember the curfew set just for me. I simply glance at my watch and it tells four and twenty minutes. It's almost time!
"Don't you want to stay for a while? Talk to me or something. Every girl likes that, I guess." He puts his hands on his pockets and shrugged his broad shoulders.
Now I got his point. Every girl wants to be in my shoes right now. Thanks to my stupid ID!
"I would like to, but I really have to go." My fingers ran over my long black hair. Shit! My aunt will spank my butt if I am gonna be late. Henry looked at me like he's disappointed. But his face perfectly hide it. If am not a witch, I could never tell if he's disappointed or not. Atleast he's just disappointed. His hazel eyes smiled at me.
"Can I go with you instead?"
I was taken aback by what he'd just said. It never occured to me that this famous dude will talk to me one day. He even wanted to go home with me. I chuckled at the thought of Henry, walking home with me.
"I am going home," I simply said, stupidly pointing the gate.
"So, let me take you home." He shrugged his shoulder again and pointed the way.
I shook my head that instant. I don't like being asked about boys. Auntie Beth will do that if she'll see him. I need to do something. I have to stop him!
Cast your spell, Maib. That is my witch side talking in my subconcious. But I won't follow her. I am not in danger right now so why would I cast some spell. And this is Henry. He is human and I knew he is not evil.
I exhaled and inhaled to calm myself.
"You do not have to do that. I will talk to you next time, if there is." I said, while I move backward. Then, I added, "I mean, it is really nice that you are talking to me but I really have to go. Bye!"
I nearly ran away the moment I was out of the gate. I didn't look back to check on him. When I reached home, I was thankful that my aunt is out. Then, I started laughing when I realised what had just happened.
