What the hell is a fire bender?
"I can distort your beast away from me and lead to that human behind you." Zerq answered my silent question. I hissed at him.
Now that is not good. Do I have to call my beast's twin?
Just say a word. I am waiting. My beast's twin blew behind me. Yeah, flames need air to flare its strength right? So, what are we waiting for? I just hope he's not an air bender too! I started the enchantation because my air element needs to be called aloud. She loves to be dramatic.
"Wind from the left. Wind from the right, from behind and above. Give this flame the right to breath. Move each rock you pass through, may it tiny or big. So mote it be!"
When I looked on Zerq's face, I was certain that he is not an air bender. I could smell victory now. He released his invisible weapon and it tried to get hold of my hand. But his move was predictable. I ducked and dashed to his left while firing at him, first with fire then followed by a ferocious wind. I got him and he was thrown meters away from us. I closed my eyes and stopped the blaze. My back ached again. But I don't have time to scream in pain right now. Henry was my top priority. We have to escape now while Zerq is temporarily paralyzed.
"Henry!" I called out however I couldn't find him. He was just behind me a while ago. Where the hell did he go? Did he freaked out and left? If he did, well, I could not blame him. And be thankful that he's gone. All I have to do is wait for Zerq to come back and finish this once and for all. My mind is planning on how to attack the elf, when I heard an screeching sound of a car. It stopped right infront of me and the door opened. There inside, Henry is on the driver's seat and motioning me to get inside. I hurriedly get in and slammed the door. He then hit the pedal and drove fast away from Martu's diner.
"Fastened your seatbelt." Henry told me as we are now on the road. He drives fast but careful. I did as what he has told me. I turned my head behind us and glad that Zerq was no where to be seen. To my relief, I sighed deeply. I am glad we are safe, for now.
"How is your back?"he asked in a worried tone. His eyes roamed at me.
"Eyes on the road, please. I can bear the pain. Just take us alive to your grandfather's home." I felt so exhausted, aside from the sore on my back. I used much of my energy.
"We'll be on the road for three hours. Make use of the time to rest. And we will talk when we get there."
Talk. I know he's going to ask me about what he saw in Martu's. However, I did not argue with him. I am really tired. And my eyelid are closing on its own.
