Side by side, Jennie and Lisa sat across from Jisoo and Chaeyoung. From their table, they had a magnificent view of the lush peaceful forest surrounding them. Far above them in the stunning light blue sky, the sun cast its rays down on them, warming their skin and erasing every residue of the city life. It had only been an hour since they arrived and yet they were slowly beginning to feel more energized, calmer. All except for one tall blonde.

She could not forget what almost happened in their bathroom. Just like she could not forget what almost happened in her hotel room the previous week. Though they never reached further than a very hot stare, Lisa could not forget how her body responded. Every inch of her wanted the woman she spent so many years with. She wanted to taste her, to hold her, to remind her just what she was capable of. Despite all this, however, she knew she could not go through with it. Whether or not she wanted to admit it out loud, her heart still belonged to Jennie, always have. However, now it was that same heart that needed protecting, even if her body had other ideas.

Next to her, in her fitted black dress, Jennie laughed along with their friends. Lisa felt the anger building inside of her. Her eyes narrowed on her and her hand struggled to stay still. For so long she gave herself to another person and yet here she was, laughing and enjoying her life like nothing ever happened. Lisa wondered for the millionth time how could it have been so easy for her wife to cheat on her.

With her thoughts buried in the memory of the past week, Lisa silently remained among her group, her hand grasping a glass of wine as if it was her lifeline amidst a raging storm. She did not hear anything they said, nor did she have any desire to contribute to their conversation. Sitting there, near the woman who shattered her soul was a kind of gut-wrench pain she never knew existed, and though she loved being with her friends and being that far away from her city life, every part of her was itching to retreat into her isolation. Unfortunately, with a friend like Chaeyoung, she knew that was not going to happen.

Lost in her world, she nearly jumped with she felt a feet nudge against her leg. With a dazed look, she turned towards the couple in front of her. "I wasn't paying attention. What did you want?"

Chaeyoung furrowed her brow. Her gaze focused only on Lisa. "I was saying, how glad I was to be here with my best friend. Then I asked what you were looking forward to the most. But apparently, I'm interesting enough for you to pay attention to."

Lisa sighed. Leave it to Chaeyoung to be the dramatic one. "If I focused on everything you said I would no time left to have a life of my own."

Chaeyoung gave a mischievous look. It seemed her friend took her words as a challenge. "Would it even make a difference; you barely have a life now."

However, Lisa was not in the mood to play along with her friend, not when she was being forced to be here in the first place. "Well you see, I had my family's company to run and my wife to spend my life with. I did not need anything else. Now after losing it all I don't want anything else."

Silence covered the blanket. Jisoo and Chaeyoung started between her and Jennie while Jennie herself withdraw her hands from the table and lowered her gaze.

"Lisa.." Jisoo started to say but was interrupted by Jennie herself.

"No., it's okay. Let's just continue eating." Jennie moved to grabbed her spoon in her soup bowl."

"Whatever." Lisa groaned in frustration. She wanted any reason to push Jennie away, to show her heart and her body that they were better apart. For every time her eyes fell upon her wife, she would feel the betrayal all over again. Every time felt like a sword stabbing her in the chest.
