Born on the Blood Moon

Chapter fifteen

As we wait for them to show up I ask Raven, "Do you think we should call the others?"

"Not yet, he's only asked for us at the moment, if he wants to address them or we think that they will be affected by him then we will, we dont want him to feel cornered," he says steeping his fingers.

Ten minutes later Yen walked in followed by Devil and three of our best warriors.

"Devil to what do we owe the pleasure of your company today?" Raven asks offering for him to take a seat.

"I have heard how worried everyone in the neighboring territories are, of how I will react to my sister, Not my daughter being spurned by that young foolish excuse of an Alpha.  I've come to tell you that he tried to take me down, he believed that because I'm a leader of a nomadic pack that we are rogue, most think we are and we simply choose not to correct them. 

I've come to tell you that he and his new Luna are dead.  I've decided to take over his land and repair the damage he has made to his people, they asked to join my pack and I have chosen to let them.  I just wanted to clear the air with my new neighbors  so to speak."

"Thankyou for coming to speak with us," I say and he turns to look at me.

"May I ask what your name is Luna?" He asks me with a blank face.

"My name is Scarlett Moonlight," I notice a funny look on his face.

"Is there a reason you are asking about my mate's name?" Raven asks his eyes intent on Devil.

"There is a prophecy I had heard long ago, of a Luna with Crimson hair, born on the blood moon, who will save our kind from the war that is set to come in the not so distant future, her name is Scarlet Frost." He says but I can tell that's not the whole story.

"We having gotten married yet, my last name will be Frost." I tell him as I feel Raven put his hand on mine.

"Who is it that we will be fighting? And where did you hear this prophecy and from whom?" Leon asks suprising me with his very good questions, only because he has been such a quiet observer till this moment.

"The elders of our pack, one is a white wolf.  As you know they serve the Goddess and relay her wisdom to us when needed.  If memory serves the prophecy states that our oldest enemy who we have thought extinct has really only been biding their time. 

I'm sorry I don't remember much of the story it was a long time ago that I heard it.  If you would like I can consult and confirm the details and pass them to you, as I said if you'd like that is." He sounds sincere and I think I would really like the rest of this story.

"That would be greatly appreciated thankyou," Raven nods his approval.

"Very well I shall head back to consult with the elders," he gets up to leave.

"Alpha Devil, would you like some breakfast before you go?" I ask.

He looks as if he's never been asked to stay for breakfast before, "thankyou Luna, I would love to and please call me Dev." He offers me his hand and I give it a firm shake.

"Let's head down to the dinning room then," I say then link Mimi letting her know we are heading that way with our new guest.

The other Alphas are there already eating and stop when we enter.

"Hello I'm Alpha Devil please don't stop eating your meal on my behalf," he smiles taking a seat.

"Our worries about Darknight have been put to rest, Alpha Devil here has taken over and has accepted the pack members into his own pack." Raven says sitting at the head of the table.

"What happened to the Alpha and Luna? Did you kick them out?" Alpha Steven asked.

"No they died, he believed he could kill me and lost, she died because my Mate didn't like her making advances on me, my mate is very pregnant and territorial at the moment, the girl didn't listen to our warnings." He shrugs.

Raven links me "are you ok?"

"I already told you the boy I knew died a long time ago, are you ok?" I  link back as I look at him.

"Never better baby!" He winks at me.
Everyone resumes eating their breakfast and ask Devil questions from time to time in between bites of their food.

"So you're not a rogue like the rumors said?"

"How many pups do you and your mate have?"

"What's it like being a nomad?"

"Are you really taking everyone in, and will you treat them fairly?"

"Will you join our alliance?"

"Is Devil your first or last name?"

"Is it really your name or did you choose it?"

I wondered if he got all that because they all asked at the same time. 

Judging by the look on his face I would say no, or maybe.

He cracks up laughing, "ok, let's try this again, I will point at you, you ask your question I'll answer, sound good ok!" He points at the first person.

"What's it like being a nomad?"

Interesting, we would get to see different places and meet different people, I met my mate that way as well.  She was originally from the far north.  Its also hard, the elderly, the young, and the sick it's a bit daunting for them to have to travel around so much and so often so putting down roots will be good for everyone I think.

He points to the next person.

"Are you really taking everyone in, and are you going to treat them fairly?"

Yes I am, that poor excuse of an Alpha, has done great damage to the pack and its people, I'm going to fix what has been broken, I also heard that his father was the one to send him down that path. Is that true?

Leon nods his head, "yes that's true the old Alpha was the one who began the down fall of that pack, speaking of will you keep the old name or choose another?"

It will be the name my pack has always had, Moonlight walkers pack.

I smile, thats good now they can truly have a fresh start I think to myself.
