Chapter thirty four

Raven's POV

Sighing I've been in meetings all morning and I'm already tired, but we must coordinate with our allies. Our fears have been confirmed Alpha Rohan is actively trying to get the Dreggs out of wherever they have been sealed. That Son of a Bitch!

Our Intel has also confirmed that the Dreggs had infact been sealed, by the elementals. They had power but not much and used all they possessed to save us all.

Dev and Collin were saying something to each other when Ren started acting funny.

Dude what's wrong?

Ren- I don't know yet, but I feel something is off and it's making me anxious

Is it an attack? Do you think?

Ren- dunno just stay alert

With that he went back to quietly pacing in my head. I totally missed what they were saying but I cant focus now. Leon and Yen have been paying attention thankfully so they can fill me in later.

Just as I'm getting back to the task at hand my office door flies open and my mom is there.
By the look on her face I know something is wrong and I stand preparing myself for the news.

"Its Scarlett..." is all she has to say and I'm in motion, I zoom past her and take the stairs as recklessly as I dare. My blood goes cold when I smell hers at the bottom of the stairs. I run to the pack hospital not knowing how she came to be in here but desperate to get to her.

When I get there my dad and Ryan are guarding the door. "What happened? Let me by," I try to get passed and they wont let me. I can hear Leon and Yen coming up behind me worried about Scarlett just like the rest of us.

"We dont know son, but you have to let the doctors help her, if you go in Scarlett and the babies could die because you would probably stop them from getting close to her. I know this is hard but we have to wait." He says softly nudgging me towards the waiting room down the hall, but I can't bring myself to leave. I know I can't go in but I can't leave either.

"Please Goddess don't take my family from me," I beg in my head I can feel Ren freaking out just like I am.
I just started to calm down a little bit when I hear the blood curdling scream of my mate, she has never done that before and it will haunt me forever.

I stand trying to get in but they tackle me to the floor. You know how they jump crocodiles on the crocodile hunter? Yeah that's what they are doing to me and Ren tries to take over, together we roar our frustration at not being able to get to our mate.

We struggle harder trying to break free when we hear the most amazing sound. It's the cry of one of our pups, soon its joined by three more cries and I know they are ok. I lie still on the floor just listening to their cries, till I hear one doctor call over the other asking for help, Scarlett is still bleeding and from the sounds of it its a lot. Again I feel the need to struggle against the others sitting on me.

"Son I know you want to go to her but she needs them to help her and you would only distract them from doing their job. She could die because of that. Have faith believe in Scarlett, you know she's fighting right now."

With my father's words I feel the fight leave me, PLEASE GODDESS DONT TAKE MY MATE FROM ME!!!

nurse's POV

I'm currently cleaning my Luna's babies up for her. She is so brave and strong, they had to cut her open to get out her babies and she could feel it all. The only time she showed just how much it hurt was her horribly painful scream. I could tell she tried not to but she couldn't help it anymore.

Then the Alpha let out a chilling roar of his own outside. We had heard his struggling before that but then we worried he'd come in and kill us, but they whoever they are held him. It quieted down outside when the babies cries were heard.

One of the doctors check each baby and they are in perfect health considering they are a month and a half early. We were both cleaning them when the other doctor called for help. Our Luna is still bleeding and she can't find the source. She told one of the other nurses to get universal blood packs ready so they can give the Luna a blood transfusion another nurse was ordered to start ivs going.

"Please moon Goddess help our Luna" I prayed.

Refocusing on the babies in front of me I make sure that they each get a diaper and a beanie. In fact while I was cleaning them I noticed they each had a peculiar birthmark. Baby A has a birthmark that to me looks like a tornado, I put him with a dark blue beanie and swaddled him. Next I did baby B in a light blue beanie and I noticed he has a birthmark like a teardrop on the underside of his arm just like his brother. I swaddle him and move to the next baby in the crib. Baby C gets a pink beanie and she has a flame looking birthmark and it's also in the same spot as her brothers. Swaddling her I lay her next to her sleeping brothers. Last but not least I get to baby D she gets a purple beanie and her birthmark looks like a tree, I swaddle her and lay her next to her sister, they are beautiful babies.

"Got it! She's going to be ok!"

I turn, the other doctor who was called to assist is now taking over and closing the Luna's wound.

"What happened doctor?" I can't help myself and ask.

"A piece of the placenta wouldn't detach and was causing the bleed, but I was able to cut it off and stop the bleeding. Ok I'm going to go tell our poor Alpha the news," she says taking off the gloves and cover that are covered in blood before exiting to tell the Alpha the good news, his babies and mate are going to be just fine.

"Thankyou moon Goddess, thankyou!"
