Acacia sighed as she sipped on the remaining of her tea, distracting herself from her worries. She kept on having nightmares of yesterday's event so the woman could not bring herself to continue sleeping. Just as she was done with her breakfast, the sound of heels clicking against the tiles made her aware of the other ones present in the dining room, making her tense lightly out of worry.
Queen Octavia's eyes fell on the younger woman before she tilted her head up of arrogance, slightly displease to see the ravenette, "Ah, if it's not the bastard child"
Acacia frowned lightly from agitation but she held it back, not wanting her outburst to cause harm to her family. The princess proceeded to bob a curtsy as a formality, "Good morning, Your Highness"
Unbothered to replied to her greetings, Queen Octavia proceeded to sit herself at the dinner table as the maid served her meal, a look of haughty disdain on her face, "At least you know your place. Now out of my sight, I'd rather not see your face as I break my fast"
'Neither would I,' Acacia monologued to herself before she complied with her wish. She could not help but rolling her eyes as soon as she left the queen's presence, evidently annoyed.
"Are you alright?" The sudden voice startled the ravenette before she turned to meet a blonde-haired woman, her brows furrowed in worry, "Her Grace did say some hurtful things just now"
Acacia smiled as she shook her head, "It was nothing I could not handle, but I appreciate the concern. I am Acacia, and I am apparently the princess, however it happens"
Kei smiled kindly as she nodded, "I am well aware, the maids informed me. I am Kei, the future queen's lady-in-waiting. Do rely on me if you need my assistance"
Nodding as she thanked her, Acacia watched as Kei's figure further disappearing into the distance, smiling lightly to herself. She sighed as she made her way to the garden, wanting to find a way to clear her mind from whatever had happened. 'Lord give me strength, I doubt the next time I can just comply to her highness's arrogance'
