Oikawa nervously bit on his nails, his legs crossed as he forced himself to calm down with some tea. It was no time to laze around, and he, the queen's advisor knew that better than anyone.

Oikawa immediately stood up when he heard the door opening, revealing a servant, a rather familiar one at that. Her hair was dark, tinted with green. There were notable creases round her face, a sign of age, and a more notable pair of slanted eyes with golden orbs.

It was a face of childhood Oikawa remembered, a pleasant guest, though not the one he expected. Regardless, he stood up to welcome the female as he pulled out a chair for her, motioning to invite her to have a seat "Mistress Loretta! It's been a while"

"Indeed," the woman replied as she took a seat, a small smile playing on her face, "How have you and Sora been?"

Oikawa laughed nervously as he sat down in front of her, scratching his cheek lightly, "Fine, I suppose, though we could do better without the murder of an influential noble"

Loretta's smile did not falter, "It was a shame, indeed, Lady Evelyn was a sweetheart"

"I'm sure she was, though I never did knew her personally," Oikawa's light chuckle was interrupted when the door opened yet again, this time with a younger servant, requesting to talk to Oikawa, "My Lord, your guest is here"

The male nodded in understanding before standing up, bowing to the elder as he excused himself, "It's good to see you again, but I'm afraid I must leave"

Loretta waved him off as she helped herself to some tea, "Do what you must, but if you see Kunimi, let him know that I'm looking for him"

"I will," Oikawa smiled in response before walking out the door, leaving the dark-haired woman alone in the dining room.

Kuroo briefly glanced out the window before shifting his gaze back to the book he was reading. Kuroo wasn't much of a fan of reading, not if it is fiction, at least, but he figured he could do something to pass the time as he waited for Oikawa.

The study was slightly messy, he noticed the piles of books covering half of the desk he was sitting at, most of which seems to have torn probably of constant use. Kuroo never really cared about it before, but now he found it rather endearing. Perhaps because it reminded him of Magnolia in some ways.

As the door creaked open, the male snapped out of his thoughts before looking up to see Oikawa. He pushed the book  in front of him away, resting his head on the palm on his hand as he smiled, "It's great to see you again"

"Not really," Oikawa chuckled as he took a seat, "me calling you could only mean one thing, and that's business"

"I'm well aware," Kuroo dropped his smile, his gaze stern, "Lady Evelyn Lee, was it?"

Oikawa nodded in response as he slid a parchment across the table, "I was hoping I wouldn't have the need to request your assistance, but here I am"

"I'll do my best," Kuroo sighed as he scanned over the words written on it, pursing his lips as he took it in. Oikawa straightened himself when he noticed the other male was done reading, raising one eyebrow as a motion to welcome his thought, "So?"

"Do I really need to stay at the castle?"

"I believe so, yes. Her body is here, and I thought it would be convenient for you and Lord Kunimi to discuss the details"

As much as Kuroo dreaded it, he acknowledged the truth in the male's suggestion, and thus he nodded in agreement. Oikawa smiled before standing up, just about to excuse himself when Kuroo suddenly speak up again, "That is, if you can tell me something"

Akaashi smiled as he offered Kei another cup of tea, which she gladly accepted. As the two enjoyed the tea in silence, Akaashi kept wondering the main reason Kei invited him out here, as he was usually the one to invite himself.

He was delighted, of course, she was pleasant to be around. But given how quiet it had been, he couldn't help but expect the worst.

As Kei carefully dropped his cup back onto its saucer, Akaashi snapped back to reality before looking over to her, a small, uneased, smile adorning her feature as she looked back to him, "It happened again"
