"Pleasure to meet you, Your Excellency," Asami smiled as she took up on his offer, muttering a small thank you as Kita's grandmother slid a small plate of simple breakfast.

"How was your journey so far?" His attempt at small talk made Asami frown, violently chewing on her meal as she reminisced on the events of the night before, "disastrous. We got attacked by a sorcerer and for whatever reason, Her Grace seems to be hiding something from us."

"Really?" He replied, not really anticipating an answer, "speaking of which, where is Her Grace?"

"I'd leave her alone if I were you, it's best to give her space," Sugawara sat next to the male, flashing a charming smile towards the ladies, "good morning."

Sugawara smiled as he received a chain of responses, helping himself to a cup of tea.

"Well she still needs her breakfast," the other male responded, completely ignoring Sugawara's words as he carried the tray towards the guest bedroom. Kita put the tray aside on a drawer, knocking gingerly on the door, "Your Grace, breakfast."

Receiving no response, he proceeded to let himself in, making sure to close the door before setting the breakfast onto the bedside table. Kita took a seat next to her, gently shaking her awake as he whispered, "Your Grace, we have something to discuss."

Just then Acacia rolled beneath the bedsheets, a sharp glare meeting Kita's brown orbs as she seethed with anger, "if you're just going to be like the Suna guy then I have nothing to say to you."

"Well I know how problematic Rintarou is at times, but that's exactly what I need to talk about."

The room fell silent for a few seconds before they both hear the sheets rustling, falling off the princess' shoulders as she sat up. Acacia didn't say anything, she just extended both her hands at him, making him blinking confusedly for a moment before passing her the breakfast tray.

The princess simply enjoyed the homemade breakfast in silence, simply brushing off the presence of the guest in the room. The male then took notice of the symbols on her arm, gingerly brushing past it before giving it a gentle squeeze. Acacia jumped at the sudden touch, immediately retreating her arms instinctively, "What are you doing?"

"Removing the mark he left," Kita smiled as he watched Acacia rubbing her arm in disbelief, desperately trying to locate any signs of what was previously burned into her arms, "Rintarou could be such a handful."

"How did you do that?"

"Sorcery, Your Grace. It's not hard to remove that kind of amateur markings."

Acacia sighed before going back to her breakfast, still refusing to meet the eye of the king's advisor, "do you want something in return?"

Kita tilted his head lightly to the side, "nothing in particular, but I need you to keep quiet of what happened to you yesterday."

"Now why would I do that?" Acacia placed the cutleries onto the tray before turning to him, her glare meeting his. The icy stare sent a shiver down her spine, and she knew he meant business.

"If you know what's good for you, then do as I say."

Kira smiled when she noticed the lone male leaning on the railings at the top of the stairs. She tapped on his shoulder lightly before leaning beside him, her gaze cast to whatever he was staring at, "good morning, My Lord."

"Oh?" Kuroo grinned in response, "what a pleasure to have you join me, Mistress Roosevelt. Is there a special occasion going on?"

"Bingo!" Kira let out an amused laugh before moving her hand to support her chin, winking at the taller male next to her, "as expected of the famous witch hunter!"

Kuroo's grin disappeared as soon as he heard the end of her sentence, now giving her his full attention, "what could that possibly be?"

"Oh, just a childhood friend coming to town," Kira glanced at him occasionally, monitoring the very slight change in his expressions. Kuroo in turn flashed, as what she would describe, a rather condescending smirk, "an accomplice?"

"Oh, I bet you would know her very well," Kira mirrored his expression, "word is, Lady Kiarra of Nekoma is your betrothed."

It's almost laughable, how she wiped that confident smirk off his face. The colour drained from his face so fast, Kira struggled to hold back her laughter. Kuroo ran down the stairs soon after, breathing heavily as he had one goal in mind.

"Oh my, leaving so soon?" Kira's remark fell onto deaf ears as the beat of his pounding heart was taunting his very being, blocking every single sound in his peripherals. Kira's smirk widened as she watched him disappear into the bustling crowd just beyond the castle gates, more so when she heard ginger voice steps approaching her.

She turned her head and gave him a small wave, Cheshire grin decorating her features, "My, if it isn't Lord Akaashi."

"My new accomplice."
