Chapter 6
A cool afternoon breeze pushed against the two girls.
They walked in tandem, Caddie was eagerly walking in front, every now and then when she'd reach an undetermined path she'd slow down, turning around to Cher making sure she was going the right way. If Caddie's appearance were to be replaced with a child's, onlookers would not be able to tell the difference between the twos mannerisms.
As Cher trailed behind, a weak smile trembled on her face. Unlike the taunting grin she usually wore. This smile shook, giving off an ambivalent expression. An uncommon face even if she was alone.
A chirping similar to a songbird's, sounded in the distance. Cool breeze brushing past two silhouettes walking. Two people, silent but their minds intertwined with the same thought. Slight clumsiness, sprinkled in their eyes. Smiles, bright yet not overdone. Both humming a similar thought in their head.
'Your acting like me right now, cute.'
Breaking this yin and yang like state, Cher casually stated, looking at her phone -
""School should be finished now.""
Caddie replied with a small ""uh huh."".
Cher stowed her phone back in her pocket and continued.
""I wonder if we'll see anybody familiar?""
The café Cher had mentioned was close to a bus stop that most students from their school would use. Meaning once they got there they'd be greeted by a café full of B.O. and teen drama.
As they entered however, the entryway the smell of heavy duty raspberry scented candles, fresh bread and coffee beans assaulted their noses. Cher turned to Caddie as she examined the menu suspended above the counter, trying to get used to the intoxicating smell.
""What do you want? Remember I'll be paying, try to be kind to my purse.""
Caddie glanced at the menu and sparks flew in her eyes. They had a special offer that was taking up half of the menu. Cher traced Caddie's eyes to see what she was drooling over.
"Buy 4 Batches of Scones, get 1 WHOLE CHEESECAKE FREE!"
""How are we supposed to eat the amount of Teletubbies there are, and in batches! Let alone a whole sun baby looking ass cheesecake!""
As Caddie heard this remark tears started to build in her eyes again.
Cher panicked.
""Nu-Okay! Don't blame me if you get sick later!""
'And at that my savings were spoilt on, most probably a scam.'
Caddie skipped over to an empty table and claimed her seat before motioning Cher over. Cher walked to the table with a pager in her hand, sitting down opposite to Caddie.
Looking around her Cher immediately regretted mentioning this place.
'This place is full of nothing but couples!'
Just the thought of all this sweetness in a place that sells sweets and the mass amount of scones she was about to be fattened up by made her almost gag.
Caddie on the other hand seemed ignorant of Cher's woes even worsening her mental stability by passing over a small note with a wholehearted smile.
"Thank you, miss!"
'miss....What am I a teacher?!'
Thinking back Cher finally realized her error.
'I've been trying to get this girl to at least be a close acquaintance yet I haven't even told her my name!'
Cher's head came loose as her face planted into the wooden table they were sitting at. Showing immediate regret, she rested her head on her arms as she whined in pain. Her face almost touching the table.
""..er..p..ri...My...name....Cher Perri.""
The first half of her sentence was completely muffled by her arms. The second half was only audible to Caddie because she had unconsciously moved closer trying to hear.
After a while of silence and no notes passed to her, Cher lifted her head. Caddie sat there seemingly back to her normal quiet self, except for a tiny smile creeping on her face.
Cher again face planted into the table. This time fully vocalizing the agony she was in.
""Ahh Ow~! I think I just broke my nose again, and my cast hasn't even been taken off yet!""
Caddie still smiled in spite of the pain Cher was in.
""This is where you ran off to?""
Although this voice was menacing quite like Cher's own, it couldn't be hers, this was clearly a male's voice. Although Caddie was sure that she had never met this person before, their voice gave her a sense of deja vu.
Cher looked up at the person who had spoken to her, head now leaning casually on her hand.
""How'd you know I ran off?""
The way these two interacted was quite strange. It was like they were insulting each other yet they still seemed quite relaxed, like childhood friends bickering and reminiscing at the same time.
""James told me. She can't withhold information from me otherwise I'll file the misbehavior report wrong.""
As Caddie looked at this boy, something finally clicked in her head.
'He's that angry mouse!'
Lee, the angry mouse, the student council's vice president. Unlike James this mouse was known throughout the school for quite a stupid reason. Through a strange series of events a rumor had circulated throughout the school about him.
The more Caddie looked at him the more she wanted to laugh out loud. Not only did her brother look like a giant next to this mouse but even Caddie herself was almost a head higher than him. Cher was pretty short for a girl her age yet even she was half a head taller than this mouse.
Caddie finally couldn't contain herself anymore and let out a short but deafening laugh before quickly smacking her hand onto her mouth and restraining herself.
Lee finally noticed her presence and greeted her with a welcoming nod. Cher apparently thought that the way Caddie slapped her mouth was so funny, she'd actually started to break down, holding her stomach in pain.
Both Lee and Caddie stared at her, somewhat confused.

<I hope you liked my stupid foreshadowing!...For what, who knows~ o(* ̄▽ ̄*)o
At some point I wanted to make Cher quote Eminem...
Hi! My name is- What? My name is- Who? My name is- Chika-chika, Slim Shady>
Caddie - *passes note* "Is it normal for her to do this?"
Lee - ""I don't think this is normal no matter who your talking about.""
