CHAPTER 16 : Miho

"Saori! Saori!" shouted someone suddenly that made some attention distracted towards the man.

Aoi who was still playing the koto got distract a bit as she widens her eyes when she saw two women that was standing at the nearby tree, vanish in instant. It success to make her stop playing, and so the other civilians gather around the man who was looking for their wife.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke immediately went to them. "Old man! What's wrong??"

"M-My wife! She suddenly disappeared!"

"Mari too! She was here seconds ago by my side!"

"Help me!"

Stated the three man as they went all panicked, their beloved wife had gone. Aoi soon then approached, "I saw them! They vanish all sudden!"

Zenitsu shouts, "Tanjiro, can you like smell their sense??"

"No I can't! There's too many people here, it's hard to recollect their whereabouts." Replied Tanjiro.

"Aoi, how did you see them??" asked Inosuke.

"They just stand there, and vanish into thin air!" answer Aoi while pointing at the tree.

Then this incident reminded Tanjiro when he and Nezuko fought against the Swamp Demons many years ago, but he was so sure he didn't smell blood. "Since when did this happen?" asked Tanjiro towards some of the civilians.

"We just knew this occurred! But it's best if we check on the people who live far from the main city, I think something might happen also over there." Explain the woman with the others.

Yoshio step forward, "I already contact the police officers to secure the area here, we all should head back to Granny Sae to solve this problem."

"Are there more who witness their disappearance other than Aoi?" asked Grandma Sae, they all already back at the Uchida castle to discuss about the issues.

"I guess it's only me," answered Aoi.

"I've faced this problem once actually with my little sister, when we were on our way for a mission. We battled against the Swamp Demons which they capture the young girls to consume. It could be trouble if it were the demons who still exist." Explain Tanjiro.

"But Tanjiro, the demons won't show during the day," stated Zenitsu that made the other also realize.

"Worse case, it could be not demons, but ordinary humans." Said Kaoru that made all of them look at her.

Aoi's eyes snapped, "Kaoru, you don't mean those villains back to ten years ago?"
