The Boar Needs Me - Inosuke x Aoi

CHAPTER 27 : Why

"Thank god he barely made it." The doctor said and everyone sigh in relief.

"He may not be using his breathing form for a while, the main oxygen that pumps in one of his lungs stuck because of the large wind that almost sucks his life out, but Mr. Hashibira will be alright. He is a tough man." Explain the doctor.

"Is there anything more Doctor?" asked Kanao, she would do her treatment as she could as the professionals medical.

"Oh yes, the wounds that he got on his right thigh, it'll be fine but its best to let it rest. Told him not to walk much in a week, it almost got through the bone."

Aoi still silent as she feels really miserable because it was all her fault Inosuke in a state like this. She even still in half of her Onna-Bugeisha's form, her perfect butterfly wings are still showing.

Once the doctor went outside, the others approached Inosuke. "Oh, Inosuke-kun you poor thing." Nezuko mumbled, it may be her first time seeing the boar hurt in bed.

Tanjiro pats his sister's head, "He will be fine, we all know the great Lord Inosuke is."

They all smiled along hearing Tanjiro's encouraging words, except for Aoi who still stood behind, watching Inosuke from afar. Kanao notice and she went to her best friend, "Aoi..."

"No, stay away please." Aoi declines, she backs away. "I-I'm a monster, I don't want to hurt you guys either."

"Aoi-chan, it's alright." Nezuko trying to approached also, but the blue eye girl backs more.

"No don't!" Aoi's wings instantly defend her own at the front that made Kanao and Aoi shocked in place.

"Ah! No! S-Sorry, I didn't mean to!" she cries and immediately dash out from the boy's room.

"AOI!" yelled Kanao who was about to chase but Tanjiro tug her waist.

"Don't chase her yet Kanao! Aoi is still confuse about herself! Let her alone for a while!"

"B-But I can't do that! Can't you guys see she was resisting to get near us?!" Kanao yelled back, and tears flooded in her eyes that made Tanjiro loosen his grip.

"Kanao, sorry, I didn't mean that..."

"No, it's okay. It's just, why things keep happening after the truth already revealed, it must be truly pain for Aoi, twice." Kanao mumbles, she hates it she can't be a good help of friend for Aoi. All she can do is comfort her friend, she is not like Inosuke who can do actions without even thinking.

That thought made Kanao hate herself if her feelings still depend on the right decisions.

Aoi ran away towards the hidden place that she, Poko, and Inosuke only know. She punches her own fist to the grass, feeling angry and disorientate towards herself. She doesn't even know why the Onna-Bugeisha took over half of her when it happened.
