CHAPTER 32 : I Need Her/Him

1 YEAR LATER

"That's it for today meetings, don't forget we will hold big event tomorrow, 'World Health Day'. In collaboration also with the other medics in the city."

"Roger that Kanao-sama!" answer all the Butterfly Estate workers and medics as they all went out of the meeting room.

Aoi stretch out her arms and yawns, "Good work for today Kanao, I'll meet up with you tomorrow at the main city at six."

Kanao also move her sore muscles while holding her documents, "Sure thing, I might be there an hour later since I have to coordinates things from here."

"Okay, goodbye then!" Aoi excuse herself and open the door knob.

Then, Kanao remembered something. "Aoi wait!"

She turns around, and raise her eyebrows. "Do I left something?"

"No... I just want to ask, it's about Inosuke."

"Oh, what is it?"

"Well, Tanjiro would be back from his longing mission tomorrow, is he perhaps with Inosuke?" asked Kanao again and only earn a confusion look on Aoi's face.

"I don't know."

Kanao seems uneasy because for sure, Inosuke has been gone for almost six months after his marriage with Aoi, at first the two always stick together no matter what but then suddenly Inosuke told his wife that he would go oversea to look more earnings for their livings.

Aoi and Inosuke are both simple, but the boar's sudden leaving for more job made Aoi worried, at first she doesn't want him to go that far but Inosuke who is a big head insists, and told her he will be okay.

But at the end, there is no word from him at all.

"Aoi, maybe you can—"

"Oh would you look at that? It's 8 p.m. already! Kanao, we should take a rest okay? Tomorrow is the big day for the whole people in the town!" Aoi cuts her off with a small smile.

Kanao still stood silent while looking at her best friend with a concern look, but the other hand Aoi just smile it off as if nothing has happened. "Yeah, good night Aoi."

The blue eye girl waves her good night back as she walks upstairs to her old room, Aoi put all her belongings on her desk and took off her butterfly hairpin. She flops herself on the bed and sigh, looking up at the ceiling.

She giggled when she spots Poko sleeping nearby the window with her big tummy exposing after she ate the whole cake and sweets that was given by the patients today. Aoi took her precious acorn under her pillow and holds it, remember back then when Inosuke left her.

That time Aoi was always feeling happy as usual because her marriage and Inosuke are almost half of a year, but on that day Inosuke somehow often feel uneasy, he would always refuse all the money that Aoi has earn.
