Nobody's POV
A month after that PURRfect date passed. (A/N: I sorry without Adrien as Chat there weren't that many puns. I had to fill it in😩😩🤚)
Marinette sat with her lab partner Luka as they were doing an elephant toothpaste experiment to study chemical reactions.
As they started leveling and scooping up the yeast they heard their teacher yelling something from behind them.
"REMEMBER SERIOUS DEMEANOR!" She screeched.
Marinette scoffed and rolled her eyes at the comment. Their teacher, Ms. Mandeliov usually said that 5x is an average of the class.
Luka caught her eye and chuckled a little at her reaction. Marinette too felt herself laugh as they continued to work.
Marinette's POV
"Okay now all we have to do is poor it in, step back, and take a picture afterwards!" I cheerfully said.
'Thank god it's over.'
I sighed, wiping my brow.
I hated science labs, and worse I hated the smell of moldy bread from the yeast. I partially surpassed a gag for a second as my partner-ER teammate-ER my classmate, Luka poured the yeast in.
We took a step back and gasped as we saw the red food coloring light up the mixture as it came bursting out like a volcano.
We both laughed.
"Awesome!" Luka muttered to himself.
I smiled as I reached for my phone to take the photo for credit. Luka, did the same.
We both jumped as our hands met on top of the pile of phones the teacher had collected.
Luka's POV
"Marinette..." I trailed off squeezing her hand gently.
This was... awkward. I smiled to myself. There was only one girl that could ever be in my mind that way and it wasn't Marinette.
It was my Ladybug.
Marinette snapped out of her chance before quickly snatching her phone, almost tripping on the table, and finally taking a sloppy/blurry photo of our science creation.
I chuckled before I heard Ms. Mandeliov says in her true fashion: "SERIOUS DEMEANOR!"
Marinette huffed making another face at our teacher. I laughed and joined Marinette, taking a picture with my phone too.
"So... any plans today?" I tried trying to make small talk.
Marinette and I were friends-ish. If none of my close friends or sister including, Juleka, Rose, or Ivan-I would usually go to Marinette to be my partner. We were friendly enough to work well.
"Uh... yeah plans with my boyfriend." She laughed.
My eyes lit up, "Oh nice! I have plans with my girlfriend today too! Coincidence huh?"
She gave me a bright pearly smile and nodded.
"More than a coincidence almost." She laughed with me jokingly at the mysteriousness in her voice.
Author's POV
Sigh- if only they knew- well Luka would know in a couple of weeks... maybe even sooner.
