AJ's POV.
3 Weeks Later
I was up on the roof with my feet dangiling off the edge. Damn this place. I HATED it HERE! It was awful. I heard climbing from the ladder. I looked up from my paper and I saw Courfeyrac. I was confused. "Who let you up here?" Courfeyrac asked.
"I let myself," I replied. This must be where he goes to get some peace and quiet! No wonder the papers I was looking at were singed Courf! "Well it doesn't give you reason to look through my things!" he snapped.
"They were in there and I didn't know!" I resorted pointing to a box on the scaffolding. "These are drawing off the refuge aren't they?" I asked. "Is this really what it's like there?". Courfeyrac looked up. "Three kids to a bed, rats everywhere and vermin?" I questioned.
"Oh what a little different from where you were raised?" Courfeyrac asked.
"I found out you were arrested for stealing food and clothing. This is why isn't it? You stole to feed Gav!" I exclaimed. "I don't understand. If you were willing to go to jail for those boys, how could you just leave them all now? Leave this cause because I'm royal?!" I questioned, enraged.
"I don't think you are one for talking about turning on friends!" Courf resorted.
"I never turned on you! Or anyone else," I argued back.
"Oh no, you double-crossed us to your parents! Your parents!" he yelled.
"My father has eyes on every corner of this city! He doesn't need me spying for him," I said. "And I never lied. I just didn't tell you everything," I sheepishly spoke.
"Well if you weren't a girl you'd be trying to talk with a fist in your mouth," Courf told me.
"I said that I was related to Madame H. I am. I told you my public name was Yorkie Brown, and it is! You never asked my real one," I argued.
"Well I thought I didn't have to, unless I was dealing with a backstabber!" He shouted.
"And if I were a boy you'd be looking at me through one swollen eye!" I threatened. I put my fist up to his neck and he raised his head a little. "Oh don't let that stop ya! Give me your best shot!" he yelled. I lowered my fist and made a decison. I grabbed Courf's cheeks and passiontly kissed him like the world was ending. When we pulled away, Courfeyrac looked at me. "Come back home with me. You can stay in my apartment for a while," Courfeyrac suggested.
"Of course," I whispered breathless. I held his hand as he lead me back to his house. But one question I needed to know. What would Marius say?
