Please excuse my writing it isn't the best. Also you may notice in the description it says Meredith has a girlfriend I mean boyfriend it just doesn't change it :) PS: The title based on songs was not my idea I got it from MerhayesWrites check her stories out there really good!

Meredith's POV: 

                  Today is the first day I'll be back at Grey Sloan since I got my license back. I'm very excited to be back at the place I love most. I start walking and saw Helm with the other interns with cake. " Welcome back Dr. Grey" helm says and hugs me along with all the other interns. I started walking to the attendings lounge to change into my scrubs. As I was on my way I got a text from Alex - " You know if you want you can come work with me at North Pac" - " Thanks Alex but you know I love Grey Sloan thanks for the offer though." - " Worth a shot Mer, love ya have fun" " Love ya too Alex". As I was putting my phone in my pocket I bump into somebody and before I could even look I fell on the ground and my phone fell out of my grasp. This person reached his hand out to grab it so I can get up, I grabbed his hand and got up and I look to his beautiful ocean  eyes and instantly got butterflies in my stomach and I realized I was looking a little to long and then I said " I'm sorry I wasn't watching were I was going" " It's okay" I looked at him and realized I've never seen him before in my life. I guess he caught on and said " I'm Cormac Hayes the new Peds head and you are?" I quickly realize his sexy accent." I'm Meredith Grey Head of General Surgery" I say. We shook hands. He saw my phone and picked it up and gave it to me and I put it in my lab coat pocket. Before we had a chance to keep the conversation going I got paged to the pit a 911 " I gotta go it's a 911, Nice to meet you Dr. Hayes". " Ok Nice to meet you Dr. Grey" I heard him say before I ran off to the pit.

Cormac's POV: 

              Today is my first day at Grey Sloan and I was already running late. I asked the first nurse for directions to the Chief's Office. The nurse told me the directions and soon enough I saw the Chief's Office and knocked. " Come in" she said. I walked in and saw the Chief and said " Hi I'm the new Peds Attending you hired" " Oh you're Dr. Hayes" " Yes I am it's nice to meet you" I held my hand out so she can shake it she kinda intimidated me because she is the Chief and I wanted to make a good first impression. She shook my hand. I asked " I would very like to get to work, could you tell me where to find my scrubs?" " Yes I can, go to the left and take a right and take another right then a left it'll be the first door on the right, I know it's kinda long but you'll find it." " It's okay I got it thank you very much Chief Bailey" I say as I walk out and follow her instructions and as I'm walking to see the door on my right, I bump into someone and they fell on the ground, I reached my hand out and helped her up. I look at her and saw beautiful Green eyes and I realized how beautiful she was, I was staring at her and I felt an instant connection to her then she said " I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." I responded and said " it's okay." I then realized she doesn't know me and said " I'm Cormac Hayes The new Peds head and you are?" " I'm Meredith Grey Head of General Surgery" she says. I shook her hand. I then saw her phone and picked it up and saw a guy named Alex on their but didn't read the messages because it was none of my business and gave it to her. Before I could say anything else she got paged. She said " I gotta go, its a 911 Nice to meet you Dr. Hayes" " Ok nice to meet Dr. Grey" I saw while she ran off. I went into the lounge and saw the scrubs and put it on, and I saw my new cubby and put my stuff in and got paged 911. I ran off and saw a sign that said the E.R and followed the instructions into the elevator, first floor and went in and got prepped and saw my patient and heard a familiar voice and their was Dr. Grey. 

A/N This is the end of the first chapter probably wasn't to interesting but let me know what u think. Im new at this so excuse the grammar.
