Cormac's POV:

          I was about to leave because my shift was over and I heard an intern say " I hope Dr. Grey makes it, I heard she might not survive." I just stood their and took a minute to process what the intern said. As soon as I was able to think straight, I ran all the way to the pit not caring if people were looking. I get their and see doctors rushing in and out of one room. I went to that room and saw Meredith full of blood. It  mostly looked like she got cuts nothing horrible but still felt horrible. I feel a rush of fear take over my body and run into the room. They were cleaning up all the blood off of her while she was unconscious. " What happened to her?" I ask. Jo then says " Drunk driver crashed into her, I heard he got the worst of it." I look at her and then Meredith starts to crash. " Charge to 100!" Jo says. " Clear!" she yells. At this point I'm holding back tears. They've been doing this for 3 minutes and nothing was working it looks like there going to call it. I finally just jump up and take the paddles from Jo's hands. " Charge to 200!" " CLEAR!" I yell. We then get a heartbeat. I was so happy to see her back. I didn't notice I was crying. I was so happy she was back I don't know what I would do without her.

Meredith's POV:

            I wake up and realize I'm in a hospital bed. I look and feel pain all over my body. " Hey, it's okay lay down get some rest." I hear Cormac say I can recognize his voice from anywhere. I lay down. " What happened to me?" I ask. " You were hit by a drunk driver Meredith, luckily for you, you only have scratches and bruises most of the blood was from the other driver." he says. " I mean, you did crash once but that was due to trauma." he tells me. " Oh, I was luck then." I say. " you were, Meredith you really scared me, please never do that again." he says crying. I sit up and grab his face and look him in the eye. " Hey, you won't ever lose me like that not without a fight." I say. " Shouldn't you be at home, I mean your shift is over by now." I question. He sits back down and says " Well yes, but then I heard you were in a accident and I had to see you." " Well you don't have to stay shouldn't you be going home to your girlfriend?" I ask. " About that... th-there's something I need to tell you." he says. " What?" I ask curious. " I made that up because I knew we couldn't be together and I needed a reason for you to stay away from me because I wasn't sure how much longer I could resist." he says kinda embarrassed. " Oh, well you don't have to worry about that." I say. " What do you mean?" he asks. I wanted to tell him but I felt this wasn't the time or place. " N-Nevermind." I tell him. " Okay." he says kinda confused. " Can you just lay with me?" I ask shyly. " Sure" he says. I scoot over and he lays next to me being careful not to hurt me, with his arms wrapped around my stomach as we fall asleep. It's like he was in my veins. Exactly where he needed to be.
