I came up with this after hearing about how and why Oikawa's previous girlfriend broke up with him. Which was because he was too involved in volleyball, I just changed some things around.
I stare up at the boring blank ceiling, I've been waiting in my boyfriend's room for twenty minutes. We were supposed to go on a date today, I was to meet him at his house and we were to leave after that. I got here late and he isn't even here! His parents are kind enough to let me in and stay in his room until he gets here, but it's been twenty minutes since then.
I don't want to be the impatient girlfriend but this is the fifth time, I sit up on Oikawa's bed. I grab my phone and open a certain contact, Iwaizumi. I text him since I know he'll respond to me right away, he always gets on Oikawa for whatever stupid thing he's done.
Me: Iwa?
Me: Are you guys done practise?
Me: Oikawa and I were supposed to have a date tonight but he's late
Iwa: We've been done for a while
Iwa: I'll send the dumbass your way
Iwa: I just need to find his flat ass first
Me: Haha
Me: Ok, thank you😄
Oikawa POV
I happily talk with some of my fangirls, I'm always happy to hear them talk. I didn't have any plans today anyway, I take some photos with the girls and sign some papers. I feel like a celebrity when they treat me like this, I'm not since I'm just a high schooler.
Before I could do anything else I get a slap to the back of my head, I turn around and find Iwa-chan glaring at me. I did something wrong again... of course, oh boy. "What did I do?" I ask and his glare got sharper.
"Y/N, ring a bell?" he says and I took a moment to think. Why would he bring up my girlfriend... shit! I have a date with her today, oh no she's going to be so mad! I grab my bag and quickly run away, damn it!
"Bye girls, thank you Iwa-chan!" I yell behind me and run to my house. I enter the house and run to my room, I open the door to find my adorable girlfriend sitting on my bed. Damn, she dressed really nice for today.
"Y/N I'm sorry, I-" I started to explain but she interrupted me.
"No, I don't wanna hear it! This is the fifth time Tohru!" she shouts at me... she's so mad.
"I know, I know. I'm so sorry, let's go on that date now. I'll make it up to you," I tell her as she shook her head. "You're mad, aren't you?"
"No," she says and hope appears. "I'm furious!" Oh, I blew it this time. "Do you know I feel sitting in your room all the time waiting for you? Do you know how that feels? It feels horrible! I'm not going tolerate it anymore, either we're threw or you do something about it," she says and leaves my room.
My eyes go wide, I quickly leave my room to follow her but she already left. I stare at the door as I hear a "Tch" come from beside me, I look at my dad. "She's a good girl Tohru, figure yourself out and bring her back," he tells me.
Damn, I didn't know how hard it feels when you're on the brink of breaking up... I hate it. I care about her so much, I don't want her to go. She's so important to me, I can't let her go that easily. I'm not letting that happen, I'll get advice from Iwa-chan tomorrow!
Y/N's POV
I knew today was going to be tough but not this tough, I forgot how many classes Oikawa and I have together and how many times we pass in the hall. It's so unbelievably awkward, I already told Y/F/N (Your friend's name) about the whole thing. They believe what I did was right but I can't help feeling guilty about it.
I just rashed out at him, I had so many emotions bottled up and took them out on him... I feel so bad! I want to apologize to him but I feel like if I go up to him, he would just avoid me. Ugh, I made things so complicated... stupid emotions.

After school, I walk with Y/F/N since it's been a while since we've walked home together, but that soon came to an end. I see Oikawa waiting at the school's front gate, I can tell he's waiting for me. I look at Y/F/N she smiles at me, "Go fix your relationship, just promise that we'll walk home together another day," they tell me.
"I promise, bye Y/F/N! Text me when you get home," I tell them as I got near Oikawa.
"No, you text me after you're done with your boyfriend issues!" they say before walking away. I take a deep breath and turn to face Oikawa, he looks calm as our eyes met.
"Um, Tohru... I'm s-" he didn't let me finish.
"No, Y/N. You had every right to be mad at me, Iwa-chan helped me realize everything I did wrong in our relationship. I need to be the one apologizing to you, I'm so sorry Y/N," I can tell that every word Oikawa spoke was true and sincere.
It meant a lot to me that he was being sincere, "I need you to promise me something though," I respond, he nods and waits. "When we have a date, please remember and show up on time. I don't want to always contact Iwa to retrieve you from your fangirls."
His eyes go wide, "How do you know I have fangirls?" he asks and I giggle a bit.
"Y/F/N told me a long time ago," I tell him and he just looks down in shame.
"I promise, please just don't leave me," Oikawa says to me, his voice was quiet. It broke my heart seeing him so upset, I quickly hug him. I hold him close to me, he hugs me back even tighter.
"I won't leave you Tohru," I tell him as we part from the hug.
"Good, now let's go on that date! Do you want food? A movie? Arcade?" he asks as he takes my hand and starts walking away.
"Hm, I'm hungry so let's get some food!" I tell him and he smiles. He leans down and we share a quick kiss, once he parts I smile at him. He smiles back and happily takes me to go get some food. I know he's going to keep his promise, I have no regrets.
