Genderbent little red riding hood, wolf is female and little red is male.
A forbidden love story.

This is not a anime story but ActTasLam requested this and I liked the idea so I thought I might as well write it, so enjoy.

I reunited with Kaida after six years apart, we never left each other sides from that day on. She would protect me against other beasts and when humans were nearby I tried to send them away from where Kaida was. It was a bit challenging but we lived in the forest for two years, it wasn't bad but wasn't comfortable.

We planned on staying the forest longer that was until... Kaida got pregnant, that was also when we had our first argument. I was telling her that we can't raise a child in the forest with no proper shelter and also risk feeding our child something poisonous, I said that from experience since I got poisoned five or more times while living in the forest.

She would talk back about how the child would most likely be half wolf and that it should be raised in the forest, she kept saying that was how she was raised. That was when I snapped, I was almost yelling at her... I told her that the baby will also be half human and humans are weaker than a wolf and can't live in a forest at a young age.

It took her a while but she finally understood what I was saying, we spent a few days discussing what we should do. We then decide we would go to search for a village that'll hopefully accept Kaida and I being together, I went into village after village looking around and asking around but it took forever to find the one.

The instant I stepped into the village I saw humans and creatures living amongst one another, I quickly went and asked a woman at a fruit stand about it. "Excuse me," I said to get her attention.

"Yes, what can I do for you today?" she asked as she looked at me.

"I was wondering if this village allows humans and creatures to coexist?" I asked and she laughed.

"Sir, take a look around. Walking these paths in this village is anyone who desires to have a home, creature or human. It doesn't matter," she said with a smile.

"Then is relationships between creatures and humans... allowed?" I asked a bit hesitant.

"Of course! Actually mostly everyone that lives here are in a creature and human relationship, it seems more common here," she said as I sigh in relief.

"That's wonderful, me and Kaida can live in peace now," I say as I remove my red hood.

"I take it your in a relationship with a creature," she questioned... more like stated. "Well, if you wanna live here I recommend you head to the village leader, he can help you. His house is at the center of the village, it's not hard to miss since it's the only one made from dirt."

I thanked her and went to get Kaida, I found her sitting against a tree napping. I smile as I gently wake her up and assist her as she stands, she was five months along. When we found out she was pregnant she was already a month along and it took us months to find a village.

We then enter the village, we go to the village leader. He was actually a mole creature, it made the dirt house make sense. He talked with us and said that he could give us a house, he even gave it to us cheaper since Kaida was carrying a child and he liked the idea of crossbreeds. I was just happy that before I left home I spent all of my free time working and had enough money to pay for the house.

Our new home was on the edge of town near the forest, it made Kaida really happy since she wanted the child to be raised in the forest. The child now gets to be raised in an environment we both want, it made both of us happy.

The house wasn't bad, it needed a bit of housekeeping and better furniture. Other then that it was a good start for us both, another good thing about where we lived was that the neighbours were very nice. When they saw us moving in they greeted us and introduced themselves to us, I could tell Kaida was nervous so I just spoke for the both of us.

For our first month in the house I forced Kaida to relax as I cleaned, she wasn't happy but I told her she needs rest. After cleaning I then went out searching for a job, I found a job as an assistant to a blacksmith. It paid well and it kept me busy, I felt bad for leaving Kaida alone but she said that she could keep herself entertained. She then promised me she wouldn't do anything reckless, cause I felt like she would.

I got us new furniture with the money I made and also got us baby furniture for when our child is born, I brought Kaida along since I wanted her to pick how everything will look. I also brought her along so she could get use to crowds because since we got here she's been avoiding leaving the house.

Then one day when I was working, it happened. One of our neighbours suddenly appeared at the blacksmith, I didn't pay much attention since I thought they were getting something. But when my boss told me that they wanted me is when I notice the panic on their face, "Kaida's in labour," he quickly said to me.

My boss let me go and I ran home, one of the village nurses was there. I quickly went to Kaida and held her hand, the nurse then told us we would be having twins. She also told us it was common in any canine creature and human relationship to have twins or triplets.

Now five years later we have two little half-wolves running around our house, we have a little girl named Maki and a little boy named Junji. Kaida stayed home with them to help raise them. I continued to work at the blacksmith, then my boss retired and I became the new blacksmith. I had a lot of work but I made good money to support my family, Junji would actually come help sometimes.

I'm always happier to come home and see Kaida making dinner and two little ones playing in the woods, I wrap my arms around Kaida's waist and kiss her cheek. "Welcome home, Y/N," she says as she turns around and give me a proper hug.

"I'm home Kaida," I say as she leans down and gives me a kiss.

"You know what I was thinking about today," she says and I hum for her to go on. "When you said something along the lines of see you again those many years ago, a phrase like that gave me future."

I smile as she smiles back, "The present we live in now cannot be destroyed," I tell her as she nods. We remain in a hug as the twins run inside, they then join the hug. Kaida and I bent down so we can have a big family group hug, this really reminds me how much I love Kaida along with Maki and Junji.
