I just got into high school a few months ago, Sina High. I have two good friends, Zoe Hanji and Petra Rall. I'm not very popular at school but Petra is, I've known her since we were kids so some people know who I am since I hang around her. But since I am also friends with the school's 'Mad Scientist' I get made fun of when I'm not with Petra.

I've learned to ignore their petty insults and carry on with my day, it takes a lot to do so but I can handle it. I must keep my head high! That's what my dad tells me and I always listen to what he has to say since it has always helped me.

I get ready for school, putting on the clothes I normally wear and I leave my room to make breakfast. After having a wonderful bowl of cereal I grab my bag and leave my house. As I walk to the school and I instantly hear Hanji screaming behind me, "Y/N!!!" she yells as she almost tackles me.

"Hanji! You don't need to scream my name while running at me," I tell her as she smiles freakishly.

"Guess what?!" she yells almost in my ear.

"What? Not that I really want to ask, but you give me no choice," I mumble as her smile grew.

"I finally got permission to do experiments in the school's lab!" she shouts in excitement while jumping a bit. I laugh a little as we get to the school, "I'm going to the lab before class starts, I'll talk to you later!" Hanji says before running off inside the school.

I walk to my locker to get the textbooks I need for my next classes, I hear someone walk up behind me but I don't bother to turn around. That was until I feel their arms hug me around my shoulders, "Hey, Y/N," I hear Petra say behind me.

"Ah, hi Petra," I say turning around and closing my locker and leaning against it.

"Ready for the assignment today? I'm hoping we could be partners," Petra says as a few of her friends come.

"I'm hoping it's not too difficult and to be partners too of course," I tell her as her boyfriend Eld Gin put his arm around her.

"Same! I'll see you in social then," Petra says as her friends push her away.

"See ya..." I sigh as I hear someone clear their throat. I look up to meet someone's silver eyes, I wanted to step back but I was against the lockers.

"Can you move, you're in front of my locker," he says as I quickly nod and walk away. I enter my first class, math, I sit at my desk. That boy who told me to move is the so-called 'Bad Boy' of the school, he has piercings on both ears, his lip, tongue, nose, and eyebrow. He always wears black and keeps all of his things very clean, I don't remember his name but he's in my social class.

The day goes by slowly, but my social class came. It's the last class of the day so I tend to look forward to it, I sit at my desk and wait for the class to start. The teacher walks in and starts explaining the assignment, "Now as always I'm assigning the partners," the teacher says. "Eren and Armin, Petra and Gunther, Eld and Oruo, Mikasa and Jean, Levi and Y/N..." she continues on but I zone out. Who's Levi again?  

After the teacher is finished everyone goes to meet up with their partners, I look over at Petra and she points to the so-called 'Bad Boy'. Right, his name is Levi. I go over to him and he looks up at me, I get a little nervous as I sit beside him, "I assume you're Y/N?" he asks.

I nod, he hums in response. We sat in silence for almost five minutes, a very awkward silence. "What era do you want to do?" Levi suddenly asks out of nowhere. He looks at me waiting for an answer, I look away at the paper with the assignment on it.
