I floated down this passageway of light. I felt being guided by the light of unknown source. My heart aching.

Have I failed my mission? It certainly seems so.

Laverna has acquired the stone. Aran Faerunduil had given me the stone in hope it was in the safest hands. Hah how wrong can he be.

I saw a big ball of light in the distance. It was bright and painful to watch for a long time.

If I enter the light I would die it seems. But I can't return now that I have lost my soul. I watched as dots of sparkles shone in my fingers. I hope the light would be patient enough to wait. I don't want to go so soon.

I floated and I felt myself tearing up.

I wiped my face.

My mind went to face the fate of Cyrus. He did not deserve to die. He did but he would have changed.

His shocked anguished face was so fresh in my mind. I failed so miserably.

Laverna is about to march with her army to Merobolis. To whole Seven realms. She's going to conquer the lands. My mind began wandering to the memory of Faerunduil's.

I saw the barren land littered with dead bodies.

Cries of millions echoed my mind.

So I have lost my valuable chance.

Why did I have become part of the prophecy.

Laverna's last words rushed to my mind. So it wasn't Daemeon who would be the other one of the halfling's blood. It makes sense. Daemeon would never be the other half 'who would be evil as time?'.

The light on the horizon was burning my eyes.

"Na- ha reallui i meth naneth? Gar- im reallui failed cin?" I said.

TRANSLATION:  Is it really the end mother? Have I really failed you?

I bowed my head accepting the shame. When I heard an echo of a voice. Like lullaby to the ears. I felt relaxed. I knew it was hopeless to feel any hope but I tried to find a glimmer among the debris of thoughts.

"Get or- Averinia. Cín núr require -o cín help. Get or- before ha's too late"

TRANSLATION: Get up Averinia. Your people require of your help. Get up before it's too late...

I looked up and saw a woman kneeling in front of me. Her hair curtaining her pale face that shone with glory. Her thin lips curled to an elegant smile.

'Queen Lavinia...' I whispered. 'But how...? I'm dead. Your not' I said confusedly.

'Averinia...no my child. Do you not remember me telling you? I am neither dead nor alive. It's just a fragment of my soul that was there in Merobolis and now here in front of you' she said. And then she pointed at my chest and said 'And in here too'.

'But I am of no use to you any further. I have died. Lady Laverna is about to destroy the kingdom and take over all the seven realms' I said without controlling the tears that welled up in my eyes.

'Child...you are not dead' Queen Lavinia said laughing.

I looked at her oddly and said 'But the light. It pulled me to it. I'm going to die'.

'No my child. That light was me. I was calling you to me. You are here in my final resting place. The resting place of my soul' she said smiling at me.

'So does that mean I'm still alive? Can I still go back?' I asked with my eyes jumping out.

Queen Lavinia laughed and replied 'Certainly so. Do you wish to?'

I opened my mouth to reply but closed it immediately. I said 'I do but I won't be able to fight aganist Laverna. She's acquired the stone. She's more powerful than any in the realms. It's impossible for me to kill her'.

'Nothing is impossible my child. The stone is powerful yes. But the power that resides within the soul of you Averinia, is stronger than imaginable. Just tap your potential. See for who you are. Understand your purpose and all shall be clear' she said.

I nodded not understanding a word she said.

'Would you like me to take you back?' she asked smiling.

'Yes my queen' I said.

She touched my forehead and closed her eyes and mumbled something that made me lose my conscious.

And now I'm drifting into an abyss. A strange sensation. A calm cool one though. My head feels light.

'Its impossible!!!' I heard someone scream.

I opened my eyes and saw myself laying down on the ground of the previous cave facing Laverna.

'I killed you...' she said her mouth agape.

I stood up silently.

And now I felt a rising power surge through each cells of my meagre human body. I felt electric adrenaline through my viens.
It was something out of ordinary...but I knew, thinking such was pointless... I felt immense power. I mirrored myself from the glassy waters and saw that my hair was turning straighter and lighter... and in a point to pure white. My ears were growing longer and I was now very tall for a 17 year old.

I moved my fingers in front of my face and admired at how smooth, fine and elegant it had become. I moved closer to the water and looked down at myself. I had become an elf.

I looked back at Laverna with equal shock

I looked back at Laverna with equal shock.

'Ah Averinia. Reborn back in Elvish blood. How quaint' said Laverna now her shocked face turning to a wide smirk.

I bent down and picked up the spear of Golgorial. I balanced it in my different hand and spoke in a mystical smooth tone saying 'Surprising how little time one needs to be reborn from the ashes. To bad the evil among our soul needs to be destroyed for the greater good'.

Laverna laughed and said 'Is it a challenge. Well then I accept wholeheartedly. But one more thing. As I had thought you were...dead, I had sent my army marching to Merobolis'.

My large white eyes went wide from hearing this.
