Jake led us to the private jet plane that was hidden as well as it could be, okay maybe it wasn't hidden at all but it was worth a try to think it was. My guess was that everyone was already inside it, I was kind of hoping so, so we could leave straight away. My nerves were all over the place and I wanted to see Austin. Ugh, that sounded so selfish, Gabby had just left and I was demanding to see Austin who I knew was safe now.
I walked through the door and was hit with a tight hug. It was given to say I was startled at first but the arms felt so familiar that I melted into them. His hot breath tickled my neck. "Long time no see gorgeous"
I smiled. "I missed you so much" We stepped back and I looked at Adam for the first time in weeks.
"Hey Adam, careful, her boy is waiting on the other side" Kyle mocked from the other side of the plane.
"That should give me a few hours then" A cheeky grin spread across Adams face.
My attention drifted over to where Jake was now sitting near Kyle. But he wasn't like the rest of us who had joined in a lighthearted conversation, he was staring down at his phone and it was then that I realised he was staring at the only visual picture he had of Gabby left. His hand that held the phone was shaking, that type of shaking you can't control because your nerves were too out of control. I let go of Adam's arm that I didn't realise I was still holding and walked quietly over to my twice-heartbroken brother.
"Hey" I said as I sat next to him.
"Huh? Oh hey" He looked up after it took him five seconds to notice I was there.
"You want to talk about it?"
"Not really, I kind of just want her to be here and that's it"
"I understand, I want her to be here too, I'm always going to be here if you need me okay?" I offered a small smile.
"And i'll always have an open beer and open ears" Caleb came over and passed a beer to Jake who took it with a laugh.
"Thanks Caleb" Jake initially said but once he saw- and I did for that matter, that everyone had come over he spoke again. "Thanks everyone"
Kyle cleared his throat. "I'm glad we're all together again" He paused and we remembered Gabby. "I'm glad Austin is safe keeping his assholish ways to the side, I'm glad Avery is in one piece and back with the people she belongs with, also known as me" He smirked and we all laughed. "I'm glad Adam has decided we're cool enough to hang out with, I'm glad Maddie and Joel have finally expressed their lov-" Kyle came to an abrupt halt when Joel punched his arm.
"Shut up man" Joel laughed.
Kyle shot him a dirty but winked soon after. "Anyway, we've been through a lot for a bunch of older teenagers, we've lost friends but at the same time, gained them, we've experienced trial and error, and we've experienced what it's like to have to protect each other, this all means that no matter what, we will always stick together 'cause we're the invincibles" He yelled the last part and held his beer high in the air.
"Here's to family, and as Dominic Torretto once said 'Salute la familia'" I grabbed the bottle Jake was holding on to and we both held it as everyone lifted their drinks.

"Austin-"
"Are we talking? Or are we racing?" Austin winked.
