"My parents called-" I was cut off when Austin spoke abruptly.
"I know. Jake told me" He paused so I could ask the question he brought up.
"Where's Jake?"
"He's in there" Austin nodded towards another private jet plane that I wasn't aware of till now. "With everyone else, including Maddie, guess she's in it now" He shrugged.
"What are we going to do now?" I asked as I looked down.
"Who knows" He lifted my chin so I could face him again. "But I'm sure as hell that I'm not going to leave you"
I smiled. "Oh really?"
He smirked. "Avery Hope Collins" My heart skipped a beat. "Will you be my girlfriend? Be my beautiful princess?" My heart stopped. Along with time itself. The only thing moving were our eyes as we blinked at each other with burning curiosity. He said exactly what he said the day he first asked me out. And my heart remembered what it did when I heard the words flow effortlessly out of his mouth; it stopped beating so it could start loving.
"Yes" I breathed out.
His eyes sparked with what I hoped was excitement and he brought me in for a kiss that went on longer than the previous one did. I felt safe in his arms, I guess I just felt safe in his presence. We both pulled back and looked at each other. I wondered what he was thinking, too bad I'm not Edward Cullen.
"Hey! You're not allowed here! These planes are unauthorised!" A group of national guards stalked towards us.
I made a noise when Austin suddenly tugged on my arm and began running. I mimicked his movements, since I kind of had to otherwise I would send us both tumbling down and in jail but I also looked back at Kale's jet plane that was already closed and moving. I frowned. Although I hated him, I wished I could say good bye and thank him for helping. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it must of been like for him. To be attracted to me yet torn apart. He was a strong man to of put up a silent fight for all those years and lucky for him, something good came out of it.
This wasn't the end of dangerous adventures and for a second it started to feel like it was the only beginning; because I guess now, we had to run. A rush of adrenaline coursed through my body when the thought arose in my mind. But, when I saw Jake, the adrenaline ran away as fast as it arrived. I hugged him and I cried into his shoulder. He could've died, I could've died but it was Jake that saved me like always. I was his little sister and he was my older brother, we worked as a team to protect each other and Jake did what he could to save me. Sounds corny, I know but it's true.
The plane was already in the air by the time I finished hugging Jake and we were allowed to move around by the time I actually started talking to him. The other guys and girls joined in after I said a 'hello long time no see' to them and a brief hug. Apparently we were going to Los Angeles and we'd have to figure out the rest of it once we were settled in a 'safe' house. We couldn't trust anyone or talk too much which I completely understood- bye bye facebook.
Maddie and Joel both stood up and walked to the end of the plane and started talking among themselves. Since when did they get all buddy, buddy? I cocked an eyebrow as I stared at them as if I was going to get some super power that allowed me to hear what they were saying. I probably could of heard them- had they of been talkling with their normal voices. But they weren't so all I could do was sit there and wonder.
"Joel volunteered as tribute to fill Maddie in with everything" Kyle too was looking at them.
"Even though I'm pretty sure I told her everything" Gabby shook her head and looked back down at her phone.
