I now sat on the opposite side of the room under a pipe. Coming out of that pipe was water, yeah I know it sounds so torturous. Trust me, it wasn't but the electrical cord wrapped around my arm was. The water ever so slowly dripped from the pipe, and fell onto my head. It trailed down forehead then sunk down to my lap. It was annoying. But at any moment, someone could turn a tap and a rush of water could arrive and electrocute me.
The cord was tightly wrapped around my arm meaning it wouldn't fall off if I jerked my arm. I'd much rather be punched in the face a hundred times over than wait in painful suspense.
"That will kill her" Austin growled.
"Don't worry, we'll pull it away before it does too much damage" Derek nodded.
"The water should start to drive her crazy soon anyway"John who stood in front of me but to the side, shrugged.
Austin looked at me with pleading eyes but I didn't nod my head. Last night when we were left alone, I made him promise me that he wouldn't give up. I told him I couldn't live without him in my life and that I would suffer as well if he went to jail. I told him there was still hope. Jake was on his way, I knew it and he would come and save us. He didn't want to follow my orders but he did. I promised him that if I myself started to give up, then I would give him some sort of sign that told him he could say I give up.
"Absolutely not" Derek spoke from the corner of the room.
"You know the drill" John looked over his shoulder at Austin.
"Of course I know the drill" Austin spoke then swore.
"Why is the water suddenly so cold" I shivered.
"Oh great, now you're going to give her a cold while you beat her" Austin proceeded to struggle against his holds so much he toppled to the side. In any other case, I would've laughed till I fell but this just made me feel loved. I don't know how.
Derek sighed and picked up Austin's chair so he sat up right again. He then kept his hands on the chair. Austin's face looked much better today. He still had scratches and bruises but they looked old and were beginning to heal. I smiled as I looked at him.
"Avery" Austin said. "Why are you smiling?"
"You look better than you did last week- Oh my god!" I cried out.
Austin's eyes widened. "What?" He exclaimed.
"It's so hot- it's boiling!"
Derek smirked and John nodded as if dripping boiling water on me was an A+ science project. I sucked in a huge breath as the water touched my scalp and fell down my face. I couldn't imagine the feeling if it rushed out and pooled down. I think I would just die.
"Get me out of this chair" Austin spat out.
"Alright" Derek spoke causing Austin's face to turn surprised. He pulled out a walkie talkie thing and ordered for Austin and Kale to enter the room. My eyebrows -despite the hot water- scrunched together in confusion.
Not even a minute later. Sadistic guy and Kale walked through the doors. I pursed my lips as they walked over to Austin and Derek and wait for their next orders. Kale glanced over at me and his eyes dropped when he saw what was happening to me. A tear escaped my eyes as the water seemed to burn more than it was hot.
Kale and Sadistic guy then untied Austin and held both his arms in a tight hold. I gasped as they walked him over to me and pushed him to his knees in front of me. They then put one hand on his shoulder but still held his arm with their other hand.
"Avery, please" Austin breathed out and tried to get closer but none of them let him.
I could surprisingly move my head and when I did, my lips could touch his if he moved his. He seemed to get the message and stretched his neck out as far as he could. Our lips brushed and our eyes closed for a split second. Drops of water fell on my back but I couldn't feel it at the moment.
