Austins POV

"Hey, wait up!" I called out but quickly dropped my voice in case Avery heard from inside. I couldn't let her know that I was going to go with the guys- to fill her spot, if she had known, I wouldn't of made it out the front door.

Despite the many protest that the guys made, I still got into the car causing Damon to wedge between Kingsley and I. A scowl appeared on his face and I didn't blame him, we all weren't exactly on the best of terms which was why Jake decided on mixing us up a bit so we'd get used to be around each other from now on.

"Avery's going to kill us if she finds out you're coming with us" Kyle looked in the rear view mirror from the passenger seat as he left the house.

"As long as it isn't me" I shrugged.

I earned a few insults and hits from the guys sitting next to me but I laughed it off and let the car fall quite. It had only been a couple of days since we escaped from Dereks- and I killed the son of a bitch so I still had cuts and bruises left to heal. Both gangs insisted I go to a hospital because knowing the inflictions Derek's little minion's made, I would need the hospital type of treatment, but I told them that we couldn't risk that. But in saying that, I wish I did receive some sort of care around my abdomen area because there was a growing pain somewhere inside.

There was also no way I was going to tell the guys that I was in pain because one, that would make me look weak, and two, they would take me to a hospital- this time without my consent.

Earlier, when I saw Avery lapse into a panic attack, was when everything kicked in. I expected something like this to happen but I didn't expect to have an actual girlfriend, that I loved, have to be dragged into it, literally. It made me want to do anything in my power to make sure she would be safe. That's what made me replace her spot to going to pick up the money so we could escape to Europe and run away from the dangerous life Avery was now in.

I was willing to drop everything for her. I was willing to do anything for her, no matter what the cost. I didn't care that I only knew her for under a year, she had my heart, my eyes, my attention, my soul, my everything.

I swallowed. I couldn't believe I was turning soft right now, this was terrible. I shook my head, cleared my throat but nothing could get her off my mind. I left her vulnerable but she was with Jake and I knew Jake wouldn't let anything happen to her. It was crazy how crazy I was for her. It's like that time we were apart made me think and come up with the conclusion that I never wanted to let her go.

"Shit" I winced, breaking the silence.

"What?" Damon asked looking at me with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Bit my tongue" Shit lie Austin.

I waited until he gave me a look that probably meant he questioned my sanity and looked away before slowing moving to clutch the side of my stomach. The pain wasn't there but I couldn't exactly grab the front of my stomach because the guys would notice that more than they would notice what I was currently doing. I stretched the skin out and while it made it feel slightly better, I couldn't imagine that it was doing myself any favours.

"Young money cash money fellas!" Kyle exclaimed.

The place didn't look as bad as I thought it would look. I thought it would be some stingy, run down warehouse, but apparently not. It was a modern, working warehouse but with barely any cars parked outside of it.
