"Make sure you give me a call if you run into trouble" Jake patted Kyle's shoulders as he walked out the door. I followed behind the boys, letting the beaming sun kiss my skin.

"I highly doubt we will but with Avery, we might" Joel sighed but I could hear the mocking tone to it.

"Hey! I'm not some trouble magnet if that's what your trying to say" I huffed and crossed my arms.

"No you're not a trouble magnet, you're trouble walking"

"Well actually, I'm not, if you guys hadn't of gotten involved with bad-" I stopped myself before I could say something that wasn't true.

"Yeah that's right, we didn't do anything to start it this time" Damon smiled as if to make what he said sound a little less harsh. He was the one speaking the truth. It wasn't their fault I got holed up in that thing, it was-

"I did" I was so out of it that when I heard those words, I thought I was the one that said it so I was confused but then I realised that my voice wasn't deep or masculine and two strong arms had wrapped around me when it was said.

My body reacted the same way it always reacted when he touched me and I found myself melting into him with a small sigh. He dug his head into the nape of my neck and managed to tickle me with the stubble that he was growing- and that I had to remind to shave off- and it caused me to let out a laugh.

Jake who was standing in front of us and had now turned around, cleared his through with a bit of warning to it. "You should get going"

"Yeah, the sooner you leave, the sooner you get back and we can finish what we started this morning" Austin said a little too loud. I had to bite the inside of my mouth so I didn't start imagining what happened this morning and how amazing it felt to have his hands explore my body.

I blushed and looked away from Jake's killer gaze. "Damn bro, you're asking for it" Kinglsey laughed and lit up a cigarette. He is well on his way to a life with cancer.

"Might want to say good bye to Austin, Avery" Jake threatened with a low menacing voice.

Any other time, I probably would of brushed off his comment with a laugh or a perfectly structered come-back but this time I couldn't. My breathing picked up, causing my chest to rapidly rise and fall and I started to shake my head. My hands began to uncontrolably shake and it soon felt like I was taking my last breaths.

"Avery?" Austins worried voice filled my ears but it didn't register in my brain. I saw Jake run over to me looking the same way Austin sounded but that too didn't do anything.

I couldn't say good bye to Austin. Not now, not ever. I had to know he was safe and that no more harm would come to him. Scenes of what happened with Derek began to flood my mind and before I knew it, I screamed. Austin being injected, Austin being hit, Austin being tortured, Austin almost dying.

Someone kept yelling my name while someone else picked me up bridal style and rushed back into the house. It wasn't until they put me on the couch in a manner that wasn't soft that I snapped back to reality.

"Shit sorry" Austin said sharply and fell to his knees beside me. He grabbed my hand and I slowly started to calm down.

"I'm so sorry Ave" Jake apologised and kept apologising till I shut him up.

"It's alright, you were only joking and you didn't know I'd react this way" I sat up and felt much better than five seconds ago. "Let's go"

"Woah, I don't think so" Kyle came into view and was shaking his head. "We don't know if you have PTSD so you're going to have to stay here"
