Chapter 11

"Sorry Zeke pulled me away y/n." He reached out and grabbed my hand causing me to smile and blush. "You have my full attention now." He smiled at me.

I don't know why, but I could really see myself liking Eren. Obviously I don't want to rush things especially since I still like Jean. There was just something about Eren. He was so trusting and caring. He's really serious about being with me. More than Jean has ever been.

"What time is it? I'm scared to check my phone in fear of what Connie may have texted me. Or Sasha."

"It's 10. Wow. We've been here for almost 3 hours. Time really does fly. Want to get out of here?"

"And where would we go?"

"Wherever you want to go darling." That's new. Man he really had an effect on me.

"I am really tempted to accept that, but I have to get home. To be fair I didn't tell Levi that I was out with you. He thinks I'm with Connie." A look of fear came over Erens face at the mention of Levi.

"You didn't tell him you were out with me! Y/n! If he finds out he's gonna kill me. I'm dead. That's it. Tell my mom I love her." I laughed at him.

"Eren, Levi isn't that scary. I don't know why you guys are like this, but I think he just enjoys harassing you. Maybe don't freak out and he will leave you alone."

"No you don't understand y/n. He has the power to get me expelled."

"If you're saying that just because he's dating the principal you are heavily mistaken. Erwin is so used to Levi. He's not gonna listen to him. Come on if it makes you feel better I will tell him when I get home."

"I don't know whether you should or not. I don't know which will be worse." I laughed again and he paid for our food. Which again was very sweet.

We headed out to the car and Eren didn't let go of my hand once.

"Hey y/n can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Well proms coming up and I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go with me?"

"Oh um Eren I don't know. Prom isn't for like another 2 or 3 months and I might just go with friends. I can't answer that right now." I decided to tease him a little to see how he would react. "Plus who knows maybe someone else will ask me. I might want to go with them."

"Who would ask you?" He realized he made a mistake because I yanked my hand away from him. He was completely serious when he said that. "I'm sorry y/n. I meant who would ask you because everyone thinks you and Jean are dating."

He tried to grab my hand again hoping I wasn't upset with him. I don't know whether I should be mad at him or not. It didn't seem like he was joking, but it would be very weird for him to say that. Especially after all the nice things he's said and done the last 2 days.

"It's okay Eren. Just take me home please." He nodded and kept driving.

We drove home in silence. I could tell he wanted to apologize, but it didn't matter. I wasn't upset with him. I figured he didn't mean it. We finally got to my house after 30 minutes of driving.

"Thanks for taking me out today Eren. I had a lot of fun."

"You're welcome y/n. Please think about what I asked. It would mean a lot if you said yes." He awkwardly hugged me across the middle console of the car and smiled. "Have a goodnight."

"Thanks Eren. You too."

I walked inside to find Levi sleeping on the couch with a teacup in his hand. I took the cup out of his hand and went to lay him down with a blanket.

"How was your date?" My heart about flew out of my chest. He didn't even open his eyes.

"God Levi. You scared me." He sat up and patted the spot next to him.

"Don't change the subject. How was your date?"

"It wasn't a date. It was 2 friends hanging out and it was fun. He was very sweet and treated me great." Levi looked at me very confused.

"Why are you talking about Connie like that? Usually you would just say annoying as usual. Who were you with?" Ah shit. Why can't I learn to keep my mouth shut around Levi.

"Um me and Eren may have went out for milkshakes and I forgot to tell you."

"Well that's a pretty big thing to forget. Listen I understand that you can make your own choices and date who you want and that I am not your dad. I just want whats best for you and I don't think that is Eren. I don't trust him. Especially after the stories Erwin has told me about him."

"I understand Levi. I really do, but I'm being careful. I have been friends with him for 6 years and I know the stories too. We may not be close, but I do know things about him." Levi sighed and just nodded. "Levi you may not be my dad, but you're the closest thing I've ever had to one. Thank you."

"That means a lot. It really does."

"Now I hope you don't mind, but Jean is coming over at 12 to talk."

"Tree house?" I nodded. "Man kid. You really can't catch a break this weekend can you?"

I groaned. He was right. This weekend has been a huge roller coaster of emotions and so exhausting.

"You wouldn't consider letting me skip school Monday would you?"

"If I did that you know Erwin would kill us both. I swear that man is so annoying sometimes."

"Yet you love him. How does that work?"

"And you're friends with Connie. Somethings we will just never understand." I laughed and Levi chuckled a little bit.

"Touche. Speaking of Erwin though. You guys haven't hung out in awhile. Is he coming over soon?"

"No I don't think so. We are both super busy this week. Hange might come over tomorrow though."

"YES! I love Hange."

"I'm gonna have to kick you out. You two together is so annoying."

"Oh you love us. Shush."

"For some odd reason I do." He smiled at me and then his phone started going off. "Sorry kid. That would be Erwin. I'll talk to you later. Also don't fall asleep in the tree house."

He got up and left kissing me on the forehead on his way out. I guess I should go wait for Jean. I got out to the tree house and checked my phone to see Sasha had blown up my phone.
