Chapter 18

Y/ns POV

I slept amazing last night. I still kind of wanted to know what Sasha and Connie and Jean talked about last night. I had to get ready for school though. As much as I wanted to skip I know Levi and Erwin wouldn't let me.

I got up and started getting dressed. I checked my phone and saw Eren had texted me.

Eren

Hey, we need to talk. Meet me after school?

I texted him to let him know I would. At this point with how things were going with Jean, I hope he's going to give up. Knowing Eren though, he probably won't. I headed downstairs to get some breakfast.

"Hey kid. I made some pancakes."

"You made pancakes Levi? You hate cooking."

"Well me and Erwin made them. I just didn't say that because every time you find out Erwin spent the night you get all weird."

"I do not. It's just gross. He's my principal." Levi just scoffed and walked away. "Thanks for breakfast Levi!" I called after him. He didn't acknowledge it, but I knew he heard me.

I sat down and made a plate. I had just started eating when the doorbell rung. Groaning I got up and opened the door.

"Hey bitch. I'm driving you to school today. Oh something smells good." With that Connie walked inside and started eating my food.

"Hey dude. Back off. Make your own plate. Also I can't ride with you today. I need to stay after school for a bit."

"That's rude. Why do you need to stay?"

"I need to talk to someone."

"Huh. Be careful."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing. I better get going though. I'll see you at school then."

Connie walked out leaving me confused. Did he know something I didn't. It didn't matter. I finished up my breakfast and put away my dishes. I drove to school. Still not really wanting to go.

When I got to school I saw Jean and Connie outside the front door talking. I walked up to them and when they spotted me they stopped.

"What?"

"Nothing we were just waiting for you." Jeans lying.

"Bullshit. What's going on? Connie, You've been awfully quiet after you were so cryptic this morning. Care to explain?"

"No actually I don't. I'm going to class. Have fun Jean." Connie walked away smiling and waving his fingers at Jean. That little shit.

"We should head to class too y/n."

"Y'all are hiding something from me. I don't like that."

"Will you just trust me? Please?" I looked into his honey eyes. I would always trust him.

"Let's get to class I guess." Jean smiled and grabbed my hand. He led me to class.

Luckily our little group all had first period together. When we walked in we went straight to our seats by Sasha and Connie. Niccolo went to a different school with Annie and her friends. Our first class was math with Ms. Ral. She used to have a crush on Levi. It was weird.

"Hey babe. I missed you."

"Sasha I saw you yesterday."

"I don't care. I missed you. Say it back. I know you missed me too."

"Always Sasha." I walked over and kissed her cheek.

"How come you never kiss my cheek y/n. I miss you too."

"Sorry Connie. I'll try to do it more often."

"Does that mean I get some too?" I turned around to find Jean and I nose to nose.

"Only if you ask nicely." He smiled gently at me.

"Well then miss Ackerman, may I have a kiss?"

"Hmmm," I smiled and pulled away from him. "I'll think about it."

Connie and Sasha chuckled at him. We all sat down as class started. The rest of the day went pretty quick. I saw Eren a couple times throughout it, but he ignored me. Jean kept flirting with me all day too. Not that I'm complaining.

Soon it was time to meet up with Eren. I said goodbye to everyone and waited. Soon there was no one else here except me. Maybe he forgot or something. I was about to just leave when I heard him call my name.

"Y/n hey! Sorry I took so long. I wanted to make sure no one was around." That's a little strange.

"That's kind of weird Eren. No one is ever here after school except for teachers and people in detention." He looked at the ground sheepishly. "You had to sneak out of detention didn't you?"

"Maybe?" I laughed at him

"What did you do this time?"

"I snapped at a teacher. Apparently I need to work on my manners."

"You could do that by not sneaking out of detention. Now what did you want to talk about?"

"Jean." Of course he did.

"What about him?"

"I thought there was nothing going on between you guys. That kiss wasn't nothing."

"You're right Eren. It was something. I can't just change my feelings over a weekend."

"So you're just going to ignore the fact that Jean is only acting this way because I said I like you?"

"Well how do I know you don't just like me to get back at Jean for something?" I wanted to see how he would react after what Armin told me. He was caught off guard but that was it.

"Why would I do that? You don't deserve to be hurt like that." He seemed sincere.

"Eren, again, I can't just change my feelings over a weekend. Plus with Jean putting in more effort it will be even harder." He looked at me. I knew that wasn't what he wanted to hear, but there was no point in sugar coating it.

"I guess I will just have to work even harder now. How about a date? A legit date this time. Not as friends. Same place and time this weekend?"

"I don't know Eren. That isn't fair to you or Jean. I don't want to hurt either of you."

"You won't hurt me. Fine to make it easier on you. Saturday at 7 O'clock I will be in the same booth we were last time. Come or don't. If you don't I'll back off."

"Okay. That works. I will see you tomorrow for school then." He smiled and walked off back towards detention.

I didn't know what I was going to do. Maybe I should talk to Jean see what he thinks. I drove home.

Narrators POV

Jean and Connie never left the parking lot waiting for Eren to leave so they could tail him. They listened to Y/n and Erens entire conversation with Connies new spy kit.

They had a plan to get Eren to admit he was playing Y/n.
