The Next Morning,

Around 8:30am..

"The victors meal together is cancelled?" Lance repeated surprised from where he stood in the living room, dressed in his training gear already. Ready to head over to the training room for a couple hours before returning to get ready for Coran interview later tonight.

"Cancelled or are we just not welcomed?" Pidge asked instead, lifting an unconvinced eyebrow.

"Look, the tributes all sitting down and having a meal together has never happed before. It was only happening because most are victors and the fancy meal for you twenty four would stand as your last meal since the next morning you'll be sent to get ready for the games. But, it's Friday and the games start Monday. Tomorrow is your last full day of training since Sunday you'll all be separated, given your injections and have your testing done. You'll gain scores and 8am on Monday morning you'll be starting the games" Allura sighed, a frown on her lips as she laid her hands in her lap as she leaned against the back of the sofa while standing to look at  the two.

"It's cancelled because tonight we'll be seen as rivals. Once Coran show begins, the games begin as well. Our sponsors deadlines are tomorrow morning and tomorrow is our last day of freedom. The meal was cancelled because no one would be eating as friends but as enemies. We'll be forced to eat our last meal with the people we'll be murdering ... who cancelled the meal and allowed us to just eat in our districts instead?" Pidge replied, a knowing and understanding look on her face as she understood at the new issues that would rise once they stand foot on Coran program set later that day. Allura giving a small nod showing she was right over the matter and the reasoning for the tributes meal being changed into just letting each district each alone on their floors.

"James, the game maker had decided to change the plans. He sent us a message rather late last night with the changed details. We're to ask if there's any food you'll prefer to eat on Saturday night on your own district floors and they'll make sure to have it ready. If not, they'll just give us all a great feast instead" Allura explained with a weak smile as Lance and Pidge lowered their heads, thinking over the intel they were just given.

"So, these next two hours of training we'll all be standing as friends and tributes but tonight .. we'll be enemies until a single victor is left standing" Lance mumbled out, the truth over the matter and the feel of being a tribute hitting all over again.

"Yes, it seems to be. If I'm honest, I had fear this would happen. As much as I love the idea of all the tributes sitting down to eat a meal together .. It would have been best at the start of the week not .. so close to the games actually starting. It's rather cruel to make one eat with the people who may end up killing them or the people they may be killing later. Mr Griffin has showed great kindness by stopping this meal from happening tomorrow evening" Allura muttered back as she lowered her head, feeling thankful for James show of mercy to all tributes.

"Well, we'll head down to train. Don't want to waste the two hours we've got" Lance smiled, sliding his hands into his jacket pocket, nodding for Pidge to follow along as he made his way to the lift.

The two sent a wave towards Allura before stepping into the lift, Allura just giving them a smile before the doors closed. All three of them letting their smiles fall once the lift doors were tightly closed.
