"Ask him to dance" Lance offered as he glanced to where Pidge was glancing to why they danced, it was their way of letting Alfor know they had arrived.
"And why would I do that" Pidge simply replied as she turned her gaze back on him, not even caring that he was standing on his feet why he moved them around perfectly, acting like a talented dancer why also making it seem like Pidge was dancing just as well instead of standing on his feet.
"Because you didn't just ask me Who? You knew who I was thinking over meaning you hold interest before him" Lance shot back with a cocky grin, leaning Pidge back as she stumbled over his feet before he swirled her in time with the music and other guests around.
"And by Monday we'll be trying to kill each other or have someone else kills us" Pidge frowned as she let herself spin, knowing her dress wasn't coming up too high to show off her underwear before she was back on Lance feet and him moving them both.
"Who gives a fuck, take a chance Pidgey. We might be dead this time next week, why not make some good memories why you can. Sure, if you live than they might only bring pain later but enjoy yourself in the moment of now .. don't regret anything in this point of time" Lance huffed back, lifting her in the air a little before lowing her and spinning them in circles, taking care not to bump into anyone else.
"I don't know, I'm not the one he wants" Pidge barely whispered lout enough for Lance to hear her over the music, a pain look in her eyes as she glanced where Keith was trapped with James Griffin the game master speaking to him.
"Who says so?" Lance asked with a raised eyebrow, his eyes staying on Pidge like she was the biggest fool around.
"He holds someone close to his heart like I do, I think I might only bring him more pain if he starts giving himself up" Pidge answered with a small smile, a knowing and pained in her eyes as she hopped off from Lance feet just in time for him to spin her once more.
"Take the risk, if you hurt him than at least you got a dance with him before he remembers whoever he holds close to his heart. It's only one dance .. you both deserve that small bit of happiness" Lance simple said in a soft voice, his eyes sweet as he pulled her back and dipped her, leaning down with her as they held themselves in the dip for a couple seconds.
"I'll ask for a dance" Pidge answered with a sweet smile, noticing an excited shine in Lance eyes.
"That's my girl" Lance grinned proudly, pulling them both back up before taking a step back and kissing her hand.
"But only because you did pull me on this dance floor knowing full well I can't dance just show we could step in front of Alfor and see his face as he noticed us. It was hilarious" Pidge explained her reason for agreeing over asking Keith for a dance. Lance just chuckling before nodding, walking away to leave Pidge to keep to her promise.
Pidge took a shaky breath, slowly making her way trough the crowd where she last saw Keith being cornered by James. She gave herself a small prep talk as she made her way towards him before slowing down once her eyes landed on him.
James was no longer speaking with him and Keith slowly sipped at his wine while standing rather uncomfortable. She didn't blame him, he hated parties, people and those who lived in greed. Alfor mansion had all of that mixed together and he was forced to behave.
