The next Morning...
"In two weeks, 23 of you will be dead. One of you will be alive. Who that is depends on how well you pay attention over the next four days, particularly to what I'm about to say. First, no fighting with other tributes. Heh, you'll have plenty of time for that in the Arena. There are four compulsory exercises. The rest will be individual training. My advice is don't ignore the survival skills. Everybody wants to grab a sword, but most of you will die from natural causes" Pidge spoke with a robotic like voice, her hands folded behind her back as she gave the great speech that all tributes were given in their first game.
"10% from infection, 20% from dehydration. Exposure can kill as easily as a knife" Keith finished off for Pidge, striding towards the two by the door without much care, a knife in his hands but he showed no sighs in wanting to use it against them for now.
"And that's our queue to say "Wow, great speech. Clearly feeling the warrior spirit now, where did you learn your prep talk from .. the dead". Than we'll do our own thing ... feel all caught up on the tribute fun? I can add jazz hands" Pidge carried on with a bright smile, turning to look to Lance who just stared horrified at his shorter friend before glancing around the training room that held all the other victors already violently fighting or training. Some fighting the trainers given to them and other's just using the holograms to train against.
"Ah but remember this game is marked as the unknown to celebrate a hundred years of games. Meaning we don't get personal training because we've already been taught about it during our first game ... well, those of us who are victors at least. Meaning you two, will have to learn as you go" Keith reminded as he came to a full stop by Pidge, swinging the knife by the tip of the blade by the tips of his fingers. He was still wearing his black leather fingerless gloves making Pidge smirk a little.
"We must also remember that today is about making allies not enemies" Pidge added with a small smile, glancing to Keith once more before turning back to Lance who was trying his very best not to freak out why they were in view of all the victors.
"So far I'm not overwhelmed by our choices by the fact that they can all kill me" Lance commented, slight fear in his eyes as he sliced his hands through the air.
"Just try and figure out who you trust least and work our way backwards from there" Keith offered a bit of advice, even he felt it was a little cruel that the two weren't getting any help over this years game. Everyone had the long speeches and survival skills training during their first game, just because this was the victors second game doesn't mean the two newbies should get the same training chance they first had. But guess Alfor really didn't want them living long if he didn't even send in a personal trainer to catch them up on the most important details and tips.
"How about you? You're being oddly helpful on giving us some information, will you be looking for allies or staying as the only one in your pack?" Pidge asked with a slight smirk, turning her head to fully face Keith why Lance calmed himself down a little.
"Solo as always but I do believe in slight fair play. I'll give the basic tips to you both and offer to give some self defence training that us victors got during our first game. I think Alfor is being a huge asshole for leaving you both in the dark when your facing victors. But don't expect us to be friends, I'll teach you the basics today and from tomorrow onwards your on your own. I just want to push Alfor nerves a little in truth" Keith sighed, spinning the knife around his hand and fingers why he talked.
