Bucky's POV

She started screaming. A knot formed in my stomach. I know what it's like. I know what it's like to be restrained to that chair and watch innocent people have all limbs torn off of them and be killed.

The agents slowly one by one left the room. Now was my chance.

I ran to the controls and turned the machine off as fast as I could. It slowly stared parting from Kaydens body and she slowly began to sit up.

She probably hates me. I should have told her. She probably think it's a trick. She doesn't trust me.

I ran over to her to catch her before she collapsed on the floor. I reached her before her head could hit the floor.

"I killed them."

"Shhh. I know, try to get some energy back because we have to go."

"I killed them for no reason. I killed those innocent people and I didn't stop."

Those kinds of dreams were the worst. I've had them multiple times. But to do it to a 14 year old, is sickening.

"Hey hey hey, look at me" I began as she started to cry into my shoulder.

"You know that is not real. You did not kill those people and they are still alive, we need to go come on."

I picked her up to place her on her feet. We walked to the steel door and out into the hallway. The agents would have left to observe the new soldier and how they are reacting to the serum, which is on the other side of the base so we are in the clear, or so I thought.
