"That's Tony, Peter, Steve, Sam, and Clint.
I wasn't really paying attention. Bucky went around to each person introducing me to them so I could put a face to a name. But I didn't really care. At least not right now.
The metal arm. That's what I cared about. The fact I had to walk down the street and leave the tower with it on. And it's going to be like that for the rest of my life.
An hour went past. Peter talked about his day at school. Clint told me that he will teach me how to use a bow and arrow. And Steve and Dam shared stories from when they were in the military. I had enough. I needed to be by myself.
I walked over the Bucky to tell him I was going to bed.
"Hey Bucky, I'm going to bed I'm really tired."
"Oh ok, are you ok?"
He knew the answer but asked anyway. He knew I wasn't ok. And I wouldn't be for a while.
"Hey Doll."
I began to walk up the stairs but was stopped by Bucky's voice again. I turned to face him.
"Just remember I love you."
I was shocked. I didn't know what love is. I've never had a family to love me or for me to love, and I'm 14 so I have never had a boyfriend.
Bucky walked over to me. And held my hands in his.
"You don't need to say it back. I love you and I'm here for you, I want you to know that."
"Thank you Bucky."
"I hope you sleep well. Call out if you need anything." I turned back to the stairs and started walking to my room.
I couldn't hold the tears back any longer so I started sprinting. I didn't want anyone to see me cry. I reached my room, when inside, shut and locked the door and silently screamed for what felt like hours. But it wasn't. It was only a few minutes.
