"I eventually became high priestess... after years of moving up the ranks... I was eager to finally meet her... But it wasn't until a while after I became high priestess of 1 of her temples that I finally met her for the first time..." His eyes light up & he has a kind of wistful smile on his blushing face. I smile too, caught up in the moment. "She appeared to me 1 day... in the private innermost room of the temple, where I had been doing my morning prayer... Just to introduce herself to the new high priestess but..." He sighs, eyes shining. "She was stunning... Wavy raven hair cascading down her back... Fiery eyes outlined in kohl... I was entranced by her..." He looks down at his lap, playing with his hands absentmindedly. "Later I... convinced myself that it was just because I thought she was cool & was glad to see her for the first time..." He laughs darkly, head tilting back. "The things you do when you're crushing on someone... Especially since I still thought I was a girl back then..." I smile slightly, not quite understanding the girl part, but getting the crushing on someone. "We continued to meet after that... For business purposes at first... She requested reports on temple management & her status among the people... & eventually... we started talking more than that..."

I smile brightly, elbowing him lightly. "See? She likes you~"

"Mmm..." He shakes my head. "I don't think so... We became somewhat friends, I guess, but..." He clears his throat nervously & blushes. "Not really on a romantic level, no..." He looks away for a second before continuing. "& I soon started to realize... how much I liked her... but that wasn't all I realized... I had been pushing it to the back of my mind..." He looks down at his hands, closing & opening them. "How... I mean... I had joined the priestesses initially because I had wanted to be around Rashida, &... I had been born a female..." He frowns slightly, & I place my hand on his shoulder, smiling supportively as he looks up. He smiles slightly before continuing. "But... it soon became apparent... After puberty... How uncomfortable I was with my role as a... woman..." He frowns & sighs. "I kept trying to repress it... My parents had named me, Lapis... &... I should respect that, right? I should follow their expectations for my life, right? I should want to be... a priestess..." I touch his shoulder again & he sighs. "Sorry... that's a bit personal, isn't it?"

I smile kindly. "No, that's ok... That's what friends are for, right?"

He smiles uncertainly, eyes brightening. "Right... Thank you..."

Aw, I'm so glad Aden is getting the support he needs, right, guys? :3 He deserves it.

Sorry if I didn't quite understand the context of being LGBT in ancient Egypt... I tried to do some research on it, but I really wasn't getting much help on whether they were viewed positively or not back then... But, of course, there can be disapproving parents in any time period, even if everyone else might be supportive... So I kinda went w that route...

I tried to have Aden's experiences reflect the trans experience, but within an ancient Egyptian context, the best I could. I don't quite have the same experiences, as I am NB & not FTM, but I tried my best... Feel free to tell me how I did, I'm always open to constructive criticism...

Anyways, I'll see ya guys later... Bye! :D <3
