Sam's P.O.V

I got up at the asscrack of dawn. The bus leaves at noon for the Navy. My uniform stares at me with more expectancy. You meet a beautiful stranger two nights ago at the club, spend an amazing date at an Italian pizza hut and the first thing I'm doing after spending the night cuddled up with her in my bed is telling her today's the day I basically destroy your hopes. #shemightkillme.

I watched as she stirred beside me. Her back pressed against my front. Her petite curvaceous frame elicited the unspeakable thoughts in my mind. Somehow everything becomes sexual once you're a teenager and upwards. We hadn't done anything of the sort, though her subtle movements had me restraining myself. I layed there watching her rest in my embrace. It's a risk. Just two days and she's in my bed. She trusts me. We get up and I decided to go and prepare her breakfast. I called the flower place and had the flowers delivered to her address at 11 am. Just enough time to get her icecream before I have to go. When she gets downstairs I look at her in her pink spaghetti strap sundress. One should be able to appreciate beauty by means of loving all and not degrading other forms. Her chocolate skin is beautiful dressed in the rose coloured pink.

We ate our breakfast before I had to go get ready. Walking around side by side was an amazing experience altogether. Its too soon to say but I'm ready to dive into this heart first. I'm done thinking about the what ifs and buts. Of all the things in this world I hope she fell for me too. We finally arrive at her house. She looks at me before quickly looking down. A van approached from the left side of the street and parks before taking out a big bouquet of roses. The delivery man walks up to the two of us and greets. She smiles at him and his cheeks burn a fuchsia pink against his pale white skin. 'That smile is reserved only for me!' my mind yells in its confines of my head. Is this what jealousy feels like?

"Hi, I uh." He looks at his board and looks back up. "I am looking for a miss Carmichael."

"That's me." She says before she looks at me and he asks her to wait. She signs the paper to show she received her gift and he scurries off into his miniature truck before she sees how red he's turned from merely brushing his hand from giving the pen back. She gets inside and I set the white roses on her table.

"So who's it from?" I ask and she turns to me with a surprised look. She shakes her head and gets a vase from her bottom cabinets. She fills it with water and opens another grabbing some plant food sachets to mix into the water. She goes and grabs kitchen scissors and cuts the wrapping open. A note falls out and she puts down the scissors and picks up the note.

'Je t'aime.'

She looks up at me after setting the note aside. She walks up to me and wraps her arms around me.

"Thank you." She whispers and I hold her closer, pulling her deeper into me. My watch beeps and I have to pull away from her.

"Go." She says and I nod and bring her face up to mine before kissing the ever lasting daylights out of her. If anyone should take away her breath, it should be me. I walk out the door and she waves at me before I pull her in for one more kiss. I get into my car and drive to the bus station to park round back before boarding the bus back to my job. In the bus I see Michael. An old 'friend'. We shake hands and he sits next to me in the bus.

"So what happened to you? You went missing after the club." He says as he jabs my shoulder lightly before scooting out of his seat so I can have the window seat.

"I was off playing hero for an amazing chocolate coloured beauty." I said plugging in my headphones before leaning my head against the glass.

"You did what!?" He exclaims. I can smell the jealousy off his skin. His eyes burn me for answers as his tone was not so genuine as he'd counter and swear it is.

"Wake me up when we get there Mike." I say putting on my headphones. I've been around the block one too many times to go about letting in worms by the likes Micheal Ronstein into my personal business. He's the kind to wear the face of a friend and turn out to be nothing nothing more than a foe. The kind to infiltrate your happiness and tear it down from the inside out and then use your anguish to their own vantage. It happened before and it resulted in the death of my fiancee Eloise Thomas. I swore right then and there that Ronstein would be under my watchful eye so if he steps out of line, I'll be sure to put an end to him. Permanently. The coach engines roar to life and the distance from the base begins to lessen, increasing mine away from her.

"I'll find her out you know." He threatens. If I were a different man, Ronstein wouldn't have been alive right now, given I've every reason to despise the man.

"Behave Ronstein." I say opening one eye and peering into his own that stare at my face. He sits down with a huff. Lieutenant Samuel Nathan Kore. My title awaits me when this bus stops at the designated area. We get off the bus and board the ship to the base in the middle of the ocean. You never know what you're getting into when dating a government official, and bringing her to this place could potentially scare her. A risk I'm willing to take.

We arrive and board the ship. I greet my team mates and head to my dorm. I get one day of rest here before I have to start working again. I head off to the gym to destress. I've had Ronstein on my back the whole night on the bus going on and on about his date with blonde haired girls whose names he doesn't even remember. I may have been reckless in my past, am I no saint, but when it came to dating I was never this reckless. I wouldn't go sleeping around everywhere, you don't know who has what and where they got it.

It's funny though. I miss her. The thought makes me chuckle. I just hope what we will have will at least be forever.
