No POV
Cheyenne is enjoying her life in Miami. Mainly focused on her job and no new relationships. Losing August was the worst thing she did, and aborting their baby. Maddison called up Cheyenne to check on her since it's been a while since they last talked.
"So how's Miami?" Maddison asked.
"It's fine honestly. Miss my old home, but to many memories tied to that place. Also trying to adjust to this weather." Cheyenne is sitting on her balcony with a glass of wine.
"Yeah I get it, but the night and day life is fun though." Maddison reminisced about the three months that she used to live there.
They sat in silence until Maddison broke it.
"How are you truly feeling?" Maddison asked her. Cheyenne thought about it and let out a deep sigh.
"Like crap. I had to block all of her family members on all platforms of social media because they would post them. It's going to be a while before I allow myself to be in a relationship. I wouldn't be surprised if I get what I deserved, you know." Cheyenne said.
Maddison sighed knowing August makes Kiana happier than what she did. They both did wrong to someone that really held them down.
"I want to say I regret it, but that's just life. There isn't too much we can do about it. We pushed them and it is painful to see that same look of love and admiration to someone else. We decided to cheat and this is what we have now."
"Do you think we can eventually actually try us again?" Cheyenne asked.
"We just have to set rules. I don't think we would work." Cheyenne went through many emotions at this time.
"I understand. Hey I got to switch over, my dad is calling."
"Alright, I'll talk to you later." Once she hung up, all of those emotions Cheyenne felt came out.
Cheyenne is used to being in control and not being rejected. There's nothing she can do about it. She doesn't understand why, but eventually it will hit her. She went through the pictures she still has of her and August smiling together, and having fun together.
"I'm so sorry for the pain I caused you. I guess this is my payback. She said out loud as she deleted those permanently. "I'm sorry to you too." Looking down at the picture of her pregnancy test.
