Jada Ryans POV

"Alright , so do you think August ad Kiana are just secretly dating and just don't want to admit it or something." I said to Jevon. We both know August, and they are acting more than friends. I don't believe this whole thing that August doesn't want to date Kiana.

"I don't know. August is too shy, and like too I don't know. Literally she was too scared to ask Cheyenne out in the first place. Then you have to look at the fact she just got out of a marriage, now she got someone pregnant aka Kiana, and she is now making her own career. But this is the same August that is a dick sober, and a sweetheart drunk." Jevon has a valid point. I can't underestimate August because she normally comes with surprises.

August is not a social butterfly, and doesn't like to be in crowds. It took forever, and a lot of convincing to make her come to a house party. She really does not fight because she somehow magically talks her way out of fights. I mean she is a dickhead and a peace maker all in one.

"Look at you baby momma." I said walking through the door seeing Kiana just glowing. She is only three months pregnant and making it look good. "When is the baby shower going to happen?"

"Actually it's two days after August's restaurant opening. My doctor is my mom's friend, and she is the one planning it. She told me she has the place rented out for that day. I can't wait to know what we are having." Kiana said.

Jevon went over to August and they started talking about God knows what. We went somewhere private to talk about more things, well what I really want to ask.

"Kiana, be honest with me. What's going on between you and August? I don't see how you two aren't together." I said sitting on her bed. We ended up in her bedroom talking.

"Nothing to be honest. I've wanted a baby so long, and she was there. I didn't think that she should have babies or anything, but here I am. We only know each other for a few months, but we both need time to do our own thing. If we get together in the future great, but if not I'm not pressed. Yeah I basically trapped her, but we had many conversations about the baby and everything. She doesn't necessarily have to be in the baby's life if she doesn't want to, but wants to go through this entire process with me, and be in the baby's life." She said.

"You two are crazy, but it is y'alls life. I can't believe this is going to be a mini August running around. I thought for sure Jevon would be the first with a kid." I shook my head. I don't know what change August is going through, but I hope it benefits her for the better.

August Alvarez POV

"So you got Maddison's number. The same woman who your ex wife cheated on you with, and you baby momma's ex. Who are you, and what have you done to my friend." Jevon asked.

"I. Don't. Know. Divorced, a baby on the way, and a blessing that will open later. My life just changed for the better I guess." I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm content with life man, I'm actually happy."

"Well as long as you are happy, and making good decisions. Now to this food that is kind of mixed matched." I shook my head.

I turned around and saw Jada and Kiana come down from upstairs.

"You good baby?" I asked her. Since I've really been staying here I constantly been checking on Kiana.
She may think I'm being over protective, but I'm just looking out for the both of them.

"And they don't want to be together." I heard Jevon say to Jada.

"Aye you wanna eat right." I pointed to Jevon.

"Leave me alone." he whined while putting a spoonful of mac n cheese in his mouth.

Cheyenne Tillman POV

This divorce is hitting me harder than it is hitting August. She seems so much happier, and I'm here in this apartment without her. I miss her saying the most ridiculous things, well they are to me, and that damn cat. Then Maddison is just checking her phone constantly, but we are not together though.

"Did I make a bad decision?" I asked my mom. She came over today to spend some time with me.

I haven't done anything like this with her for a while because I was focused on spending time with Maddison.

"About what?"

"Cheating on August and everything."

"Baby, if you didn't want to be with her then you shouldn't have said yes to marry her. I want to be on your side, but I can't. You know how your dad's side of the family is, and stuck up they are. Five years, and you haven't really stood up for her. Then you marry her and cheated on her for a year. She didn't deserve none of that, and you know that." she said.

"I know, but now she it's like she is living her best life without me."

"She deserves it. You literally put her down constantly about her weight and everything. Now baby girl is fine. Like fine fine. Sorry baby, but you cheating on August is the best thing that has happened to her because now she has her own business, and a baby on the way. You could have been a part of that success, and could have had a family." I felt bad about myself, and the things I have done. "You can't treat people like that. Now it's your turn to better yourself. That pain, hurt, and disappointment you are feeling is how she felt."
I didn't think I would feel this bad. I never thought about how she felt, and now I can't do anything about it.

February 7
3:10 P.M.
August Alvarez

"I'm going to be gone for a while Kiki, you have everything you need." I asked while grabbing my keys.

"Goooo. Yes, I have everything and I'm not handicapped, I can drive. Also, please talk to your dads about getting a new car. I know you want one but you are too stubborn to actually get one." Kiana came over to me, and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Leave me alone." I kissed her, "I'll be back in a couple of hours. Call me if you need me or anything."

"I know. According to your friends and family, you are not this overprotective. I will be fine, and if I really need you I will call, now go." She started pushing me towards the door.

"Who coming over here huh?"

"Jesus if you continue to stand here and not go about your business." I sucked my teeth and put on my coat.

"You ma'am is a violent pregnant woman." I said wagging my finger in her face. Well not entirely in her face because I don't want to die.

Kiana slapped my ass as I walked towards her front door. "Love you, wrap it up because you are not sleeping in my bed with cooties from another woman. Oh and shower at the woman's house if you do."

"Love you too. Take care of my damn baby now."  I kissed her one more time before walking completely out of the door.

At this point of time, I see why everybody thinks we are a couple even though we are not. Maddison texted me her address because she wants thiss....dick. I stopped by Walgreens to pick up some condoms since I don't use any with Kiana......
