PEOPLE SAY TO not be pushed around by your fears. that's impossible when your fear is that the person you love the most pushes you away, without even realizing it. and it hurts. a lot. more than anything. it crushes your heart. your feelings. your self-esteem. your will to live.
you question yourself. whether it be questioning your looks, personality, why you even exist, why they didn't choose you, that's the one they always say.
that's what it does. that's what love does. it separates. it pulls people apart. it pushes people to their limits.
it hurts more than it should. it puts this unnecessary weight on your shoulders. you have to carry that guilt for the rest of your life. knowing that you'll either be the cause of someone's death or knowing that you'll never have a chance with the person that you have loved dearly.
it hurts knowing they choose someone over you. knowing they chose someone who doesn't love them as much as you do. the things you had done for them. it would've all been for nought.
you then have to put this fake personality on, this fake smile, this fake person that you aren't.
people don't know how much it hurts until they actually experience it. it hurts more than you think it does. keep trying to win their heart when they haven't broken it yet.
love is an extremely dangerous thing. it should always be taken seriously. it's not some silly game.
it's a real thing. it's a thing that can hurt people in more ways than you can think. it hurts more than any word can stab you. it hurts more than any pain that comes across you.
it pushes you around. no matter what people say.
