I'll Save You (a Brittana story)

The Beginning

It was a Monday afternoon at McKinley. Mr Schue had set the Glee club an assignment and Rachel was making one of her long speeches that nobody ever understood the point of but they let her go with it so she wouldn't go on about it for the rest of the week. Even Mr Schue looked as if he was about to fall asleep. He had told everyone to pick a partner and they were to sing a duet together.
The cheerleaders were sitting together in the back corner, out of sight from the rest of the Glee club. Santana was pretending to be Rachel, complete with the hair flicks and hand gestures. Brittany was giggling quietly, thinking that nobody had noticed. Except somebody had. Artie. He'd had a crush on Brittany since she joined Glee club and hated Santana. He thought that she was keeping Brittany away from him deliberately. She wasn't.
The truth was, Santana loved Brittany. They had made out quite a few times, but Santana told Britt not to think anything of it. The last time they had made out, which was the night before, they had actually spoken about it.
~The night before~
S-"It's just what friends do Britt"
B-"Even best friends like us?"
S-"Especially best friends like us"
B-"I love you San"
S-"Just as friends Britt. I'm pretty sure that Artie has a thing for you"
B-"Is that okay with you."
S-"I can't say I like Four eyes that much, but whatever makes you happy Britt"
B-"And is-...."
S-"shhh Britt I wantz my sweet lady kisses"
~back to the present~
Rachel finally finished her speech and the Glee club are leaving.
B-"San are you coming over tonight??"
S-"Sorry I have plans Britt"
B-"With who? Quinn"
S-"No Britt, remember she's not talking to me"
B-"Then who is it!?!"
S-"Puck"
B-"Ewww why. He's gross"
S-"Shut up Britt. You can't decide who I bang"
B-"Why are you being so mean"
S-"I just-" she see's Britt starting to tear up a little "I'm sorry Britt, I'm just tired from last night"
B-"It's fine Santana. I'll see you tomorrow."
