Spencers POV

As I walked into the room I saw Eliza's body on the bed she looked weak with all of the different tubes that were hooked up to her but I knew that she was still Eliza and I was grateful for that. I mean I was so upset that she hadn't had anyone tell me and I had to find out on my own but I'm so happy that she's still here.

I walked over next to the bed and pulled up a chair so I could sit next to her, Alex Came over and started to explain all of the things that had happened, all of the surgeries she went through, and how they still didn't know if she had her hearing back. I gently lifted her hand and held it hoping she would wake up and notice I was there. Alex continued talking about how she wouldn't be able to talk due to her broken jaw and how she would be in and out of sleep. I listened to him and noticed that Maggie and Meredith were outside watching I got up and decided to greet them and thank them for making sure Eliza had been safe throughout everything.

"Hello Meredith and Maggie I just want to thank you for helping Eliza through everything and I was wondering if you could explain further what treatments, medications, and if there are any follow up issues since ill be taking care of her," I said I wanted to let them know that since I was there I was going to take care of my girlfriend and that I would make sure she had everything that she needed.

They explained to me what kind of treatment she had and the medications that she would be taking and then noticed that Eliza had woken up again and told me to turn around and go and greet her. I was so happy that she had finally woken up but I think I startled her cause when she saw me it looked like she had seen a ghost. I went into the room and sat down and held her hand again "Eliza I wish you or someone would've told me sooner you had the team and I all worried i-" she looked me in the eyes and moved her hand to my face and caressed me I knew she couldn't talk but it hurt cause I just wanted to hear her say that she was alright. She got the whiteboard that was next to her and wrote ' I still can't hear and have no clue what you said but don't worry my love, I can see worry written on your face, I'm okay I promise, I love you.'

I read everything that she wrote and was sad that she still couldn't hear I was worried if she would ever get her hearing back since she'd gotten punched in the head causing her to go deaf for hopefully will just be sometimes. I wrote back to her saying 'i love you too I always will but you worried me so much and you also worried the rest of the team, I swear Hotch and Emily were going to call the police and track you down with no contact and you know it scared me since I'm always on cases but I'm glad your okay and I also wanna see the guy who did this so I can't have him arrested for assault on the medical staff." I finished writing that down and smiled at her. She grabbed the board and began reading what I had written and once she got to the last part she looked up and noticed I was smiling and hit me on the hand, I grabbed the whiteboard back and said that I was only joking but it was true that I was upset that this happened to her especially since I was across the country and had no clue.

Elizas POV

I woke up and saw spencer outside I almost wanted to cry with happiness to see someone who wasn't a fucking doctor or surgeon. I noticed that he was talking to Meredith and maggie and I knew he was gonna be upset that no one had told him yet but I still questioned how he knew since no one told him all I knew is that I was so so very happy to see him.

maggie had motioned towards the window and spencer turned around and saw that I was awake and once he noticed he rushed into the room and sat down in the chair and just held my hand. he was hesitant to hold it as if it would hurt me but to me, it felt so nice to have a physical touch from him instead of people trying to put needles in me. now I knew how some patients felt when we had to go into their room to constantly check on them and they were annoyed because I'm annoyed at the fact that so many doctors come in the room and check on me. I guess it's cause they're doing their job but it's too much sometimes, to be honest, it's way too much.

I looked spencer in the eyes and he began talking but to me I just saw a mouth moving I couldn't tell what he was saying but I could get some parts out to me it sounded like he said Eliza me sooner team worried that's all I could get out so I just looked at him again and saw the worry in his face I brought my hand up to his face and caressed him to calm him down and hopefully makes his worries lessen he moved his hand and put it on top of mine and kissed it. I saw the whiteboard that the nurses kept trying to get me to use and thought well how's the time to use it so I grabbed it and started writing down on it, when I was finished writing I gave it to spencer and he read it. Once he finished reading it he began to write on the whiteboard and gave it back to me I saw what he had written and was relieved that he was okay and that he was glad I was okay and safe I also smiled at the fact that Hotch and Emily were going to track me down I love that for them. It also appeared that Spencer was of course mad and wanted to arrest the person who did this to me but he also needs to understand that the person who had done this was having a seizure right before and was in a state of confusion. 

I playfully hit Spencer in the hand for even suggesting that he should arrest him. I knew that he was upset at the fact that he was across the country when everything happened and I also knew that I should've had someone tell him but I just felt the need that he didn't need to worry plus I also thought if I got the surgeries that I needed then I could recover by myself and then I would visit Spence when I was done recovering.
