Once Spencer gets home he notices that the apartment is empty that was once filled with her stuff he calls out her name and no response he called it out again and hears shuffling but still no response he takes out his gun and travels down the hallway opening the bedroom door to Apollo on the bed next to the note. I didn't hear anything so I called again and this time I heard Apollo whimpering and crying I walked into the bedroom with my gun out and saw Apollo laying on Elizas part of the bed with a note on my side I sat down and picked up the note and read it. The note he saw it there on the bed and noticed that her night side table was cleared and the pictures of them on her side were gone he put his gun away and sat on the bed Apollo sat next to him and he pets him. "Now where did your mother go Apollo? Should I be worried A.?" Spencer said. Opening the letter he begins reading the note.
"I love you Dr. Spencer Reid and even though you let me except this new job and we promised we would be together forever I think the forever has ended for us and our flame burned out. I am leaving I don't want to be a burden when I'm gone and I know long-distance relationship never works out, I'm sorry I know whenever you get home or you come back from your case that you will read this and be heartbroken and that's ok because I'm heartbroken too I didn't want us to end I never wanted us to end I wanted to grow old with you and live in a nice house. I know that you wanted to take me to the airport and say our goodbyes but I don't want that I don't want to end things sad and with our last words to each goodbye, I only want the bad memories forgotten and the happy memories remembered. I don't want you to worry I know you can overthink situations and worry but please don't worry I will be safe and please don't have anyone try and contact me because I think I am going to be leaving my old life behind and starting a new one I would love to have you with me on this new journey but it would be too difficult. I love you with all my heart Spencer I do but I think that is doing long distance might not work out and since we both have busy jobs it's time. Please take good care of Apollo I will miss him more than you... joking of course but take care of each other for me please tell him I love him every night before bed and don't forget if he whines or cries just give him his favorite toy. I love you don't forget that.

Tears rolled down his face. Drip. Drip. Drip. The tears fell on the letter. He couldn't believe that she was gone just like that he was heartbroken.
He never wanted her to leave not even if they were apart he always wanted and needed her in the same city. Not only was his job to work for the B.A.U. but it was also to protect and love her. he was gonna propose to her that night too. Rossi was preparing his backyard Emily and JJ were helping out while Morgan was getting the bouquets and balloons ready. They were all supposed to get together and have a party.
He took the note and laid down with it just holding the paper, holding what was left of her, holding her handwriting he loved and adored so much, holding Apollo because she joked that she loved the dog more than him, in a state of confusion he cried silently. They never fell out of love in fact they still were deeply in love and would do anything for each other. He was confused on why she would leave without him even if she didn't want too and was possibly forced too that was why he didn't understand why she didn't want to keep him in contact with her for once in his life he was confused and couldn't find the answer to this equation. and didn't understand he felt like he was alone again and had no one he felt like he couldn't tell the team I mean she his rock she was there for him they were there for each other and loved one another she was there when he got home no matter if she was asleep or awake she would always listen to him no matter what he had to say even if he did ramble that was her favorite thing about him. The next week is a living hell for both of them Eliza started out as her new job in Seattle and lived with Arizona and was friends with Maggie pierce and amelia shepherd and Meredith grey and was trying to get her life back on track she often looked at pictures of her and Spencer and cried Spencer tried to get back to work but wand t as focused and the bags under his eyes became darker Rossi noticed that he would stay over at the bau and would read Elizas favorite book Rossi told Hotch and they both began to worry one day on a case Reid snapped at Hotch when he asked what was wrong with him and Morgan became worried so did JJ she asked if he had started to use dilaudid again and he said no now he had the whole tema worrying once the case was over Morgan had invited everyone out to get drinks and Spencer said no instead he went home to look at more pictures of Eliza and him and to take care of their dog funny because we still said it was their dog it was both Eliza and Spencer's dog is was their fur baby after a couple hours of being home he heard a couple of knocks at the door and he opened it.
As he opened the door it was the bau team it was JJ Emily and Garcia and hotch and Rossi and Morgan they had all came by because they were worried they asked if they could come in and he maybe another time worrying that they would see that elizas stuff wasn't there anymore they didn't take no as an answer and Morgan pushed through the door Emily and JJ held hands and noticed that elizas stuff wasn't there anymore they glanced at Rossi and he nodded his head Hotch asked if eliza was home with him or at the hospital Spencer just said she was at the hospital Morgan could tell he was lying and asked him again he cracked and told them everything Rossi and Hotch were surprised Morgan couldn't believe that he had been dealing with this alone for two weeks Garcia asked if she could help and track down Eliza to ask her why she really did it because Garcia couldn't believe that they were done she kept saying but you were supposed to get married and have children and Emily and JJ just sat next to him and tried to comfort him Morgan and Rossi and Hotch decided to leave and JJ and Emily soon followed the only person who stayed was Garcia she said that when Monday came around she would look for Eliza because she didn't care that Eliza said not to track her down and Garcia promised Reid that everything was ok and that she was gonna fix it she left after that now it was back to just Apollo and Spencer not Spencer Eliza and Apollo just Apollo and Spencer Apollo had been sleeping in elizas spot because Spencer didn't care to put him in his crate anymore but he did tell Apollo goodnight every night just like Eliza said he figured that maybe if he had done something different she would still be here goodnight Apollo Reid said your mother loves you a lot and don't ever forget that he nodded off to sleep and didn't wake up until 12 he didn't care to get out of bed except to take the dog out and get him fresh food and water he also brushed his teeth and showered got some food for himself but that was it he just stayed in bed and read the same books again they were all of elizas favorites
Elizas pov
Even though it had been two weeks and eliza was top of her game at grey Sloan she just didn't like it anymore she missed Spencer and Apollo she missed Spencer more she wished he was there and he would tell her everything was ok she wished that she was back in Virginia because that where Spencer was even though she was never no one had seemed to notice even though she had friends she her best friend back she wanted Spencer back she thought about turning down the job and going back but then she could hear Spencer asking why she turned down the job and she couldn't leave her new friends they already thought she was different instead of her being head of cardiology it was her and Maggie now they were both chiefs of cardiology now Maggie lovers her but Eliza didn't feel normal yet she felt normal back in Virginia and would do anything to go back to Spencer she just wanted to be held by Spencer whenever they would go out she would get hit on but always said no grey and pierce had asked if she was married or had a boyfriend and she would get emotional she would say no but she used to and how she still loved him they would ask why did they break up and she would say I had to it was going to end up as a long distance relationship and those never turn out good so it was better to break up with him now then later they asked what he did and she would say he worked for the fbi at the behavioral analysis unit and that he was a doctor and he had 3phds and 4 bachelors and he was a genius and they would say I thought you were the genius you have a high iQ and she would say I know but he had an iq of 180 and mine is 175 but we were two halves and when we came together we were a whole they said you know he can track you down if he wanted to and you said I know but he wouldn't because he's not good with technology plus I told him not to tell his coworkers they knew that she was sad but they thought it was a normal part of breaking up
Garcia found Eliza and found out that she was safe and in Seattle Reid boomed the next flight to Seattle and wanted to her right away he got a plane ticket and went to the airport while their since he was in a hurry he got asked questions like where he was going
She was gone she just left I picked up my phone and tried calling her but it had just kept going to voicemail I know she didn't want me to call her but I couldn't help it. Apollo had came and put his head in my lap I put my hand on his hand and started petting him as tears flowed down my cheek I didn't know what to do I couldn't sleep and I couldn't tell the team I respected her and she had said not to.
