Elizas POV
I hadn't received a call from Spencer and even though I knew he was busy in Texas working a case I knew that he was as safe as he can be but something still hadn't sat right with me.

In the past, after a couple of months of dating Spencer and I had gone over that if anything happened one of his teammates would call it would usually be Morgan, Hotch, or Rossi but I don't know why I was worried I just had a bad gut feeling. I was laying down in an on-call room stuck in my head when I was supposed to be sleeping.

" Eliza wakes up we need you down at the ER I paged you twice already."

I guess I did fall asleep.

" yes I'm awake, I'm awake don't have to go screaming my name AJ."

AJ was my best friend I met him in med school and ever since he's been, my person. We jogged down the hall and entered the elevator.

"why were we paged to ER?"

" I'm not too sure they just said it was a mass casualty I guess there was a collapsed tunnel I didn't really get details they just told me to get you down there."

"Ok well then you know it's gonna be a lot."

The elevator doors opened and we were rushed in I heard screams and cry's and soon enough my head was back in the game and I was ready.

Spencer's POV
We had been in Texas for a day and the team and I was ready to deliver the profile we knew that the unsub was a white male in his 30s and that he would be the type of man who would anonymously express himself online by raging against how these women are filled with disease and filth since he was killing prostitutes.

I was going to call Eliza but I hadn't got the chance yet the last time we talked I was on the jet and she was going to see a patient so we had to end the call early.

"So I think we know who the guy is." "Since the last person who was murdered had lavender on her legs I think I know what's it's about."

I asked Hotch a question

"have you ever heard of spikenard?"

"It's perfume it's mentioned in the gospels," Hotch said.

" yes exactly it's derived from lavender it's what Mary Magdalene used to wash Jesus's feet, which tells us that this unsubs message is obviously religious in nature.

Morgan responded"Preacher mills, maybe he came forward to volunteer information."

Hotch had said that yesterday the preacher said that he'd let us know if he had any more information, but apparently, he changed his mind.

"He fits the profile. He's morally rigorous, submissive in public." J.J. said.

Morgan and I went to the church to ask if the preacher was there but he wasn't so Morgan texted Hotch that he wasn't there Garcia had let Hotch know that the preacher was not so good of a preacher after all. What we learned was that we were going after one sadist who was copying the behavior of another. We also learned the unsub really wanted was for us to catch the preacher.

The preacher had gone to a restaurant so Hotch told Blake and me to go with the sheriff.

"He's been in there a good 5 minutes now. I haven't seen any movement yet." The sheriff told us.

"What about patrons?" I asked concerned if there was anyone else in the restaurant.

" uh, it's closed," Blake asked how many entrances and there were two Blake asked the final question.

"Is he alone?"

We weren't sure if he was alone or if he had other people with him one of the officers said that there was movement and that we should move in.

"Actually, we're better off establishing the perimeter first."

I continued talking to the sheriff when shots were fired I got behind the car door with Blake and asked if she was ok she was fine Blake went to help the officer that was shot and in front in front of the car so I went to cover for her.

"BLAKE" I yelled and tried to cover her and the officer when I felt a sharp pain in my neck and I was thrown back on the floor I heard Morgan yell.

"REID!"

Morgan pulled me back behind the car for safety and J.J. and Blake got the officer to safety. I was in and out of consciousness.
