Everything Goes Wonderfully Right (18)

~present day~

Spencer's POV
I showed up to work and walked into the little kitchenette Emily and JJ were there drinking their coffee and I started to get my coffee together when Garcia has walked out and straight into the bullpen we all looked at each other and walked in after her.

Being back at work was great I truly do love my family and am so happy to be back. The only downside is I wish I had more time to spend with Eliza but other then that I was glad to be back. Back in the bullpen Garcia was going over a new case that we would be working on she also told us how we would be flying to Tampa bay, florida. The police department couldn't figure out why the killer was killing and staying with the victim after their death. Hotch told us that we would be getting on the jet in 30 mins so I had time to text Eliza and tell her that I would be leaving on the case. As I boarded the jet Hotch and Rossi continued talking about the case, I decided to sit down next to them to continue listening about the case. The police department believed the unsub was suffering from an emotional break. The jet ride didn't last long before I knew it we landed so I texted Eliza again telling her we landed safely. Hotch told us that Emily, Rossi and I would be heading to the station to further get more information while he and JJ would talk to the victims family and Morgan would see the latest crime scene.

Eliza texted me back while I was in the car she said "Great ! im so happy you landed safely please be safe when doing the rest and don't forget how much Apollo and I love you !!" even though her texts aren't grammatically correct with the space between the exclamation marks Ive stopped telling her about them and just started to appreciate them instead its what makes her different and reminds me how much I love her and how different she is.  The police department believed the unsubstantiated was a male but the crime scene showed different Morgan arrived at the crime scene which was a gun shop we saw that this story was all over the news JJ said this wasn't good and she was right. This could possibly increase the danger of people since we don't know what style of unsub we are dealing with yet and the unsub seemed to not have a preference of killing and seemed to kill just to kill. Not long after we arrived at the station and got more evidence we were called to a local mall turns out this unsubstantiated is a woman shot one singular person at the mall hotch and I believe she shot the one person who got in the way of her which is why she took out her rage on the victim. this womens body count continues to grow and she seems to lash out at any sort of people in uniform.

As each crime scene continues to develop the next place we were at was a roadblock which the police would check each car to see if we could find the suspect. The unsub happened to fall into the trap but one was shot while the other was run over. Morgan and I realized this unsub was becoming unstable and was killing anyone who got in her way.

While back at the police station Rossi and Hotch both agreed it would be best if we went back to the hotel and slept on it and reevaluated it again tomorrow morning. The team agreed with them we were all tired from the jet ride so we all agreed it would probably be best. JJ and Emily called henry to tell him a goodnight story while on the ride to the hotel. they offered me if I wanted to room with them or Morgan but I preferred to be alone. Plus it'll be better than having to listen to JJ and Emily talk about how much they love each other.

We got to the hotel and I helped get the bags out with Morgan. JJ and Emily took theirs and Morgan took his Hotch and Rossi had went in a separate car so they got their own. We all got inside and checked in and once we got in the elevator we parted ways when we got to our floor. Hotch, Rossi, and Morgan would be going towards the left and JJ, Emily and I were near the right. Emily and JJ asked if I wanted to hang out with them for a bit but i politely declined. I wanted to call Eliza and ask her how things were I wasn't able to text her much more or less because of the confidentiality of the case and because of how hard we were working on the case.

I missed hearing her voice. Once I got in the room and settled down I tried sleeping but after a while of trying and being restless, I  decided I needed to hear her voice I craved her and her voice it was like honey to my lemon tea I didn't care how late it was for her but I needed to hear her and make sure she was ok before we continued on with this case. So I decided to call her

•ring ring ring•
I thought she picked up but was wrong.

"hey! sorry i can't pick up the phone i'm probably saving a life. i'll get back to you when i can though!"

I needed to hear her voice and wasn't going to give up so I decided to call again

•ring ring ring•

"h-hey Spencer is everything okay?!?... it's late."

I could hear her yawn on the other side of the phone and her tired voice. Oh how happy I was when she answered and soon realized I shouldn't have called her especially if she was still at the hospital and just getting her five mins of peace before she would be on call again

"I'm sorry for waking you up love. I- I just needed to hear your voice. I missed you so much and was worried because I know we didn't talk much today"

"oh well that's ok then I missed you too Spencer, Is everything okay? How's the team? "

"Yes of course everything is good, we are still working but Rossi and Hotch figured it would be smart to rest and reevaluate rather than stay up late and make any possible mistakes which is very smart of them. Also I just wanted to ask if you were resting at the hospital and would be on call soon because if so I don't wanna disturb you before you work again"

she chuckled lightly on the other end. "Oh no I'm actually at home I finally got to sleep in our bed again I missed how comfy it is but it's missing something"

I was smart enough to realize what she was getting at. I knew what she was trying to imply and suddenly I was not longer tired instead I was yearning for her touch. "Oh? I wonder what that would be" I replied

"I do think that would be you or Apollo but seeing that Apollo is here and you are not I'm guessing it would be you spence"

"God what I would give to lay with you right now I miss you and your touch I miss you so much love."

"Oh Spencer you know I would do the same to have you with me. I miss you too Spence I miss you so much it's unfair how when I'm able to sleep in our bed your not here it's almost like you tease me because when your here I'm at the hospital working we can never seem to get the timing right."

"I'll be sure to have the team finish this case fast just so I can make it in time love. I never want to
let you down of course."

"Spencer I know I probably shouldn't distract you from the case but I would like you to know that i'm wearing your favorite thing right now... your clothes and your not here to see it... but i'll let you go so you can rest for the case"

"Eliza you can't leave me on a cliffhanger like that you know that love"

"I know but I fear it's time to bid farewell, I love you Spencer I love you so much!"

•she hangs up•

I barely got enough time to evaluate and register what she had said and before I knew it she was gone that sneaky little teaser. She told me everything I wanted and more and left me savoring her more than I ever have. I do hope she knows when I get back she will be punished for teasing me and leaving me with a problem that I have to fix.
