Spencer's POV
Eliza told me everything and she said the first "I love you." I was honestly so happy because I knew she loved me and I loved her back. After saying both of the reasons why we loved each other Eliza was going to tell me about her surgery that she did yesterday. I was so excited I loved to hear about the surgeries that she did I mean it amazed me how she was Chief of Cardiothoracic surgery at her hospital, sometimes I think she has probably saved more lives than me. I told her before she told me about the surgery that she did I would change into pajamas and then she could tell me.

I got up from the bed and went to get some pajamas from my drawer and went into the restroom and changed. I just put on a t-shirt and some pants since it was cold outside compared to texas I mean it was cold in Texas but not compared to Virginia cold. I walked out of the restroom and laid down in bed next to Eliza. Whenever she would tell me about her day she would always sit criss-cross next to me I always assumed it was because she liked to use her hands to explain and almost show what she did.

"Alright, babe I'm ready for you to tell me what you did at work yesterday."

She motioned her hands as if she were gathering children around a campfire.

"Come close children and let me tell you the telltale of a wise surgeon doing a surgery." She said sarcastically.

"Haha very funny it's not my fault your job is so interesting." I said back

"Fine, fine I'll tell you. So practically the day started at least for me pretty late at 10:00 and I was in an on-call room sleeping because I had just finished with a different surgery when AJ came and started shouting my name he told me 'Eliza wake up I already paged you two times we need to get to the ER' so I got up and I looked at my pager and it said 911 not two times but now three so someone else was paging me down to the ER. So AJ and I started to jog to the elevators and we got in and I asked him 'do you know why we're getting paged to the ER' he just told me that there was a collapsed tunnel but he didn't really know the details so I knew the ER and other areas and ORs would be busy. When we got off the elevator I went and started to help someone when Williams called me and told me that they needed to send a team out so I gathered the people that's were going out and we all went to get our bags. Then we went off to the ambulance bay and when we arrived it was bad I mean it was really bad turns out AJ was right there was a collapsed tunnel and there were so many black bags I felt bad but since I was on duty I couldn't let that get to me. So instead a firefighter came up to us and lead us to this crushed car he told us that the now patient name is Lucas Gardner it was crushed by debris."

"Was the person or people still alive inside?" I asked

"Well I was just about to get to that part, but yes the person inside was barely alive and they were able to get his fiancée out she was actually at the hospital before we left. We kept trying to find a way to help this man since the car was basically crushed flat we figured that we should all lay down on the ground to get better access to the man so I laid down on the ground to ask him some questions and to see if he was responsive I told him that we were going to get him out and he said that would be great he was making the best out of what had happened so I was happy because I knew that when patients had hope that means that they would be easier to talk to. AJ and I began to work so did Katherine and George. We were able to make sure what wounds he had and we had tried to stop bleeding. he had a collapsed lung and his abdomen was bleeding he was also impaled in two places. His airway was ok but George had to make sure that he wouldn't suffocate on his own blood. we had all continued working and the sun was setting. AJ still had to get a chest tube so that way he wouldn't suffocate on his blood and I had to try and stop the bleeding that was coming out of his abdomen. Lucas had tried to strike up a conversation again and had asked if we were going to get him out of there and I told him I had to he was going to have a baby he had asked me if I had kids... and I told him, no I did not he had asked me if I had a husband and I said no I didn't but I had a boyfriend.
