Aj and I arrived at the hospital and we both got down and entered the hospital doors. We both parted our ways.

"Hey, Eliza before you get on your way to your meetings can you look at one of the heart cases I have, please," Aj asked.

"Sure."

I followed after him. I had two hours before my first meeting was going to start we went into a radiology room to look at the x-rays he turned on the light and I began to study the x-rays it had seemed like all he would need is a normal heart surgery I told him what he would need to do. All he needed to do was a CABG which is a Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting which we had both performed this surgery multiple times before and I was confused as to why he was asking me for help.

"Ok, so this seems like a pretty normal surgery all you need to do is a CABG which all you need to do is place the grafted artery back where it was before... Aj why did you ask you've done this type of surgery multiple times now I mean we both have." I asked him while leaning against the table.

"Well I was just thinking how you have meetings today and you know how they may be transferring residents and I mean we're both residents and what if your the one who they pick and gets transferred I mean you can turn them down right? like you can turn that position down, I mean I know that your chief of cardiothoracic and you may have to transfer but we still need you here and I mean your patients that you have here..." he said.

"Aj calm down please I'm not leaving and you don't even know if I'm going to get picked there are plenty of other residents that may be transferred too, including you and you don't need to freak out your plenty good, plus I can't be transferred or leave my whole life is here, Spencers with me and your here I can't leave and they won't transfer me because they know how much I have here plus they wouldn't transfer me back to grey-sloan hospital so please don't worry, that's my job and if we keep talking about it your gonna end up jinxing one of us."

"Ok your right, so I'll stop talking about it but do you wanna scrub in on this surgery?" he asked.

"No I'm good I have to prepare for my meetings." I said.

"Okay, good luck today." He said.

"Thank you, same for you good luck on your surgeries and meetings," I told him.

After an hour of reading one of the books, I headed straight to my first meeting. I knocked on the door and John told me to come in."

"you're a couple of minutes early," he said.

"Yes, I know it's better to be early than late," I told him.

'Yes, alright then since your here I guess we can start early." He said.

Great I can use this to my advantage I thought.
I sat down and began to get my papers out and a pencil to get ready to start taking notes.

"So as the board and I have seen you've done 186 surgeries in the last three months and we know that's just the minimum you've done it seems like you've been relaxed this past couple of months. correct?" he asked

"Yes as you've probably seen since you choose it, I was promoted to chief of surgery which I am very grateful for and my surgery cases have gone up now, on the other hand, my emergency surgery cases have gone up but then again we are a trauma hospital so that's kinda expected as well and I'm rambling, I'm sorry." I said while noticing his facial expression had changed I need to get better at not going on in conversations.

"No, no your fine but since you bring that up and I've had a couple of other meetings today with other residents and well some of the chief of surgeries. As you know we have been talking about transferring some people and you are a very good candidate with the fact that you've been recognized for some of your surgeries in other states is very good, plus i've seen a hospital that you used to work at put in that they would like you and  as some of your other colleagues an-." I cut him off.
