Part 4: Love Square

(The entire story part will be Four's Point of view, so I don't have to write that.)

It is afternoon in Numberland as I'm taking Squarey for a walk. On my way, I see Three juggling her balls. One was watching her. I wonder what they're doing. Those balls give me the chills, but I have to bear it. Squarey walks over to Three and starts yipping. Three gets distracted and drops her juggling balls.

Three: Squarey! I wanted to set the world record for the time juggling! And you broke it!

One: And the world's record for breaking the longest time juggling goes to... Squarey!

Me: What?!

Three: Huh?

Squarey: Yip?

One: You were trying to set the record, Three! And Squarey broke your record!

Three: No! No! No! That's not how it works! He can't break my record! He's a dog!

One hands over the certificate to Squarey.

One: You said it Three! You said that you wanted to set the world record for the time juggling! And Squarey broke it!

Three: *grumbles*

Me: That's okay, One. Let her have it. I'm sure Squarey doesn't want it anyway!

I give the certificate to Three.

Three: Thank you, Four. 😄

Me: You're welcome!

Three can sometimes be polite. Sometimes she can be cheeky. It depends on her mood. I actually like her cheekiness. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have known that I'm a square. She wanted to be the "biggest", so I just became shorter. No, no, no, no! I can't think of it this way!

Me: Who are you? Are you readers? This just got a whole lot interesting! Wait! Squarey! Come back!

Squarey stops running when he reaches Five, who was facing the other side.

Squarey: Yip! Yip! Yip! Yip!

Me: What is it Squarey?

Five turns around to look at us.

Five: *sniff* Oh, hi Four. Hi, Squarey.

Me: Five! Are you okay? Why are you crying?

Her voice was cracking. She seemed so sad.

Five: Seven told me earlier that he was going to the other side of the world for a week. But he didn't tell me when he was going.... And he just left without saying anything...

Me: Why did he do that?

Five: I-I don't know! 😭

Me: Aww! Don't cry, Five. It's okay. I'm sure he didn't tell you for some good reason!

Five: Whatever is good in leaving without saying anything.

Me: Maybe he had something important planned.

Five: He has no rights to leave without informing.

Me: You're right. I'm sure he doesn't like what he did either. It's okay. You don't need to cry. He will come back anyway!

Five: *wipes her tears* Thanks, Four. I feel better now. ☺️

Me: You're welcome!

I walk away with Squarey. I've got a bad feeling that this is going to be confusing.

Me: I can't remove Five from my mind! From the first time she ever came, she cared about us all! One, Two, Three and me! Especially when I got to make the pattern with her. Aaahhhhh! I can't stop thinking about her! But she already has Seven. I might as well forget about it. You're still here, aren't you? Will you stop stalking me?!

Sixteen: Who are you talking to, Four?

Me: UUUUMMMMMM...... NO ONE!

Sixteen: Why are you shouting? 😳

Me: NOOOO REASON AT AAAALLLL!

Sixteen: I'm... gonna go now....

Me: SUREEEE THIIING! SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOU AROOUUUND!

Sixteen: 😶

Me: What is wrong with me? Why did I shout like that? Now, Sixteen will think that I'm crazy!

Squarey: Yip. 😐

Me: I just don't know what to say when I'm around her! I keep acting up like this time! Why are you- Actually, you know what? Don't leave! I might actually need your help! Don't leave! Stay stuck to me! Please?

Me and Squarey walk home. I give Squarey some dog food and water and I sit and watch TV. I switch through the channels and when I was about to switch the News Channel, I saw something interesting. One and Two were reporting some news.

One: We have some huge problems on the other side of Numberland!

Two: After a case of a missing Seven, it was found that Seven was causing trouble on the other side!

One: The reasons are unknown! Numberblocks are searching for any clues of why he's acting up like that! He needs to be stopped! Or nothing in Numberland will be the same again!

I turn off the TV.

Me: Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? Why would Seven do such a thing?! I hope Five doesn't know about this. 😬

I hear very loud screaming from Five's house. I run to her house and open the door.

Me: What happened?!

Five: SEVEN IS GONE! 😭

Me: You heard the news...

Five: WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!

Me: *sigh* Five, listen. I know he betrayed Numberland. And he could use his luck against us.

Five: YOU'RE SCARING MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Me: Oh, um... Sorry. I was actually going to say... Maybe we can help to get him back to normal?

Five: HOW WILL WE EVER HELP?! 😭

Me: I honestly don't know. But we have to help anyway we can!

Five: D-do you th-think that w-we can d-do it?

Me: I know we can!

Five: But... Why would you help me in getting Seven back?

Me: Well... Because.. why not!

Five: Thank you, Four! You're the best!

She hugs me and I hug her back. I go back to my house and fall on my bed.

Me: This can't be good. This can't be true! What if... *gasp* What if I'm stuck in a love square? What do you all think? I do like them all, but... What if they all like me back? No.. I need your opinion!

Do you think Three, Five and Sixteen like me the same way I like them?
