Chapter Three. Cutie

CUTIE! He just called me cute. He thinks I’m cute. I panic a little. I stare at the message before I reply back.

Nicks Pov

*ding* She’s replied. I hesitantly opened the message hoping I didn’t scare her off by calling her a cutie. Luckily, I didn’t. Instead, I was gifted with a pet name. I actually liked it. It was cute. ‘Nicky’ I could get used to that. I lay down on my bed not bothering to change out of my jeans. I dreamt about her. Her face, her touch, the way she moved. 

I woke up early. I got changed into sweats and a hoodie since it was pretty cold outside. I waited for y/n at the stairwell leaning against a rail.

Y/N Pov

I woke up, showered, and got into jeans and a t shirt. I walk out of the dorm and see Nick leaning against the stairwell rail. He looked so hot like that. He turned around at the sound of my feet against the concrete. We start walking to class but I trip on the lip of the stair. I close my eyes so I can’t see the floor approaching me quickly. I never hit the floor. I open my eyes and look up. Nick had caught me before I hit the ground. He pulled me back up. I lost my balance a little and landed very close to him. I felt his breath in my hair, and it made me feel tender. We laughed it off and he put his hand on my lower back guiding me down the stairs, so I don’t fall again. We got to class and sat next to each other again.

As we were walking back to our dorms. I felt Nick slow down next to me. I stopped and turned to him tilting my head as to say, what’s wrong? He looks you up and down. He then gazes into your eyes, grabs your hands, and said, “y/n, would you like to go out for dinner with me?”

“Yes, I would like that a lot. Where are we going?”
“That’s a secret but I will tell you one thing.” He pulled me a little closer.

“Wear something really nice and meet me outside my room at 7.”

I nod and he lets go, sliding his hands off my arms slowly. I go inside my dorm. My heart flutters at a million miles per hour. I go have a shower since it is only 5.47. I take my time doing my hair, curling it on the bottom making it wavy. I do my makeup fully with rose gold eyeshadow and proper lashes. I then take to my wardrobe. I pick out a few dresses that could be suitable to wear. I end up going with a blue satin dress, white heels and all my accessories. It approaches 7 and I walk out to Nick’s dorm.
