Chapter Fourty Three. Oh Baby

-time skip-

Nick is holding my hair as I throw up into the toilet. George and Dream are outside the bathroom door. “We’ve brought you blankets, chocolate and soup,” George says. I hear them leave. Nick pats me on the back and I haul into the toilet again. He hands me a towel to wipe my face with. “Thank you.” I go to stand back up but Nick sits me down on the edge of the bathtub. He flushes the toilet twice then washes his hands. He begins to braid my hair and ties it up. He helps me stand up and I put my pressure onto him. He lays me down in bed and tucks me in. He gets the blanket George and Dream brought up and wraps it around me. Nick sits the soup on the bedside table and turns on the tv. He lays next to me and puts his arm around my shoulder. He puts on my favourite show and kisses my forehead.

“Nick?”

“Yes baby?”

“What if, what if I am pregnant?”

He looks down at me, “Well there’s only one way to find out.” He gets out of bed and goes downstairs. I hear the car start. I lay there while he is gone and google symptoms of pregnancy. I am showing all the signs. I missed my period, I’m nauseas, I pee a lot and I just vomited. After around 20 minutes I hear the car come back. I hear Dream ask where he went, and he just answered the shops. He comes upstairs with a plastic bag. He helps me out of bed and hands me 3 different tests. He reads the instructions out aloud to me and then ushers me into the bathroom and wishes me luck.

I have to pee on all 3. I drink some water from the tap and wait for the pee to come. I sit on the toilet. Once I feel myself need to pee, I open the packets. I take the first one out and pee on it, I then hold in the rest and do the same for the second and the third. I sit them on the bench and open the door for Nick. It takes about 10 minutes for them to set in for the most accurate results. We both sit there in silence waiting for the tests to come back.

He holds my hand and rubs his thumb up and down it. The timer goes off and we flip over the tests. They all have two lines. We both break down crying. I can’t tell if Nick’s is happy or angry. “I’m going to be a dad!” He finally says in between sobs. “I’m going to be a dad, y/n. We’re going to have a family!” He lifts me up and hugs me, spins me around and I rest my head into his shoulder. “We’re having a baby!” I say excitedly.

We run downstairs. Dream and George see that we’ve been crying and come over to comfort us. “Dream, George. We’re having a baby!” I tell them. Both their faces light up. “WE’RE HAVING A BABY!” Dream says dancing around. George starts to cry with us which triggers Dream to cry too. We’re all crying tears of happiness in each other’s arms.
