detention

I wake up feeling ready for what the day has in store for me. I get ready for classes and head down to breakfast. Hermione's already at the table so I walk over and sit with her. Soon I see Draco and Pansy walk in hand in hand. I was trying not to watch.

"He's staring at you Evie" Hermione whispers in my ear as I glance up. Draco and I make long eye contact, almost like a staring contest. Pansy soon realizes and pulls him towards the Slytherin table. I couldn't stop thinking about him and her together. How could he do that to me? Even after I confessed my LOVE for him. I mean I still love him but I'm sure he doesn't still love me. I mean why would he go and date another girl if he's still in love with me. The whole situation messes with my mind. After breakfast, I run straight to potions so I'm not late again. I see Draco heading in the same direction and I try to speed walk past him, so he doesn't see me.

"Evie? Can I talk to you?" Draco says trying to keep up with me.

"I'm sorry I have to go to class," I say starting to run away. I could hear him running after me.

"Evie! Wait! I have to talk to you!" Draco yells as I stop running and turn to him a little out of breath.

"Why would I let you do that?" I say catching my breath back.

"Because I think I deserve to have a chance to explain myself," Draco says looking around to make sure Pansy wasn't near.

"Explain yourself!? Why would I ever let you explain yourself after what you did to me" I said stepping closer to him and raising my voice. "You broke me. I loved you and I even told you that and you still go off and choose another girl. You even admitted to loving me so were you lying or did your love for me just die-off" I start tearing up, so I turn around and start walking to class.

"Evie, I'm so sorry," Draco says realizing how much he hurt me.

"Sorry is not going to fix it!" I yell and start running with tearing dropping down my face. I soon make it potions, only 10 minutes late. I walk in and everyone turns to face me. I could tell they all knew that I was crying.

"Ms. Potter, late again, detention!" Snape says and goes back to telling the class what we were doing. I go and sit next to Hermione.

"What happened?" Hermione whispers in my ear. Before I could answer, Draco walks in with red puffy eyes.

"Mr. Malfoy, late for the fifth time this week, you can join Ms. Potter in detention," Snape says as Draco and I make eye contact.

"I'll tell you later," I say back to Hermione. Draco brushes past me and I could tell he was still crying. Once class was over, Pansy came up to me.

"What's your problem with Draco and me?" Pansy asks crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, nothing, just the fact that he admitted to loving me 2 months ago and now he's with some two-faced idiot that thinks she rules the school," I say smirking and turning around to walk to my next class. I could tell she was shocked just by the way she didn't reply at all. After school Draco I had detention, it was silent the entire time. After detention was over, we both walked together.

"Evie, I'm so sorry," Draco says but I keep walking and I don't stop until I make it to my dorm. I tell Hermione everything and she tells me to stay away from Draco and Pansy before things get ugly.
